Why should BB announce his starting QB long before the game? Let the Giants have to prepare for all of them. That’s gamemenship.

Bad news for the start Will Grier crowd. He was just waived. Odd timing. Probably needed roster spot (McDermott signed to 53?) and he did seem to still be 3rd, per reports. So maybe not that odd. |

Not that odd at all. He wasn’t in contention to start or be the first backup, they needed the roster spot and he likely reverts to the practice squad.

Pretty standard procedure when it’s up in the air on who will play QB, and for the exact reason costpet outlined. We may not like it but they’re still gonna try to win some games. As an aside Jayden Daniels QB1 I don't see the advantage and other coaches don't seem to play this game. If it were a toss up between Mac and Malik, maybe, since the play style is different. Mac and Zappe are pretty identical except Zappe is a worse passer whose a little more mobile. |

I don’t see them as too similar aside from both of them not having great arms and them not being very good. If you knew Zappe was starting for sure you’d be coaching the defensive line up very differently imo (they’ll have to be more aware of his mobility and they’ll have more of a chance to knock balls down). Besides there’s really no point in doing the opposite and naming the QB |

I agree, but you do have to acknowledge that this is atypical bad from him, but at the end of the day he's not someone I want leading the team either because of skill or mental toughness. |
