I think most people would understand when saying a guy stinks it's relative to their peers. I would never say Tacko Fall was a good basketball player, but he could beat me at 1-on-1. Tribusky's career hasn't been very good which is why the Bears gave up on him and no NFL team wants him to start for them. He made a plethora of mistakes which cost the Steelers a potential win against the Patriots. Compared to other NFL QBs, yes, he stinks. There are examples of guys who turned their careers around with a change of scenery. That doesn't mean they weren't bad players for their previous clubs. It just means they were able to figure it out elsewhere. If Mac Jones becomes a top 10 QB for the Titans, I'm not going to say he was good with the Patriots. He stunk and got better. Yes, Pat Chung was not good in Philly. It was good for everyone that he left and came back to New England. I agree performance can be fluid and that guys can get better and worse. Geno Smith had a career renaissance, but DK really helps that. I also wouldn't get too excited about him either as PFF doesn't have him as a top 12 QB. CBS sports has him at 15th in the power rankings. Which is still really good for a guy who was discarded! I think he ends up becoming a good backup within the next year or two or goes elsewhere to be a plugin guy until that franchise has a young QB they want to go with. I remember back in the day when the Bills had J.P Losman who was described as the kid with the golden arm and the lead head. Mean, for sure, but somewhat accurate. He had the physical tools to be elite, but like Tribusky, they're too error prone and make too many poor decisions. Losman had a pretty decent season, but for the most part wasn't very good, compared to his peers. I'm at a disagreement with CDJ though on Zappe. I thought his game against the Chargers was alright. He got screwed by a couple of big drops by guys that are not very good compared to their peers. The weather was terrible too. I think he was fine all things considered. Maybe the greatest 0 point game by a QB, ever! Against the Steelers Zappe was able to move the ball at will in the first half. It was fun to watch. I think he lost it a little bit in the 2nd half, but moreso I think Billy O just called plays to not lose the game. It was a very conservative game plan in the 2nd half. I also agree that the Brady store is garbage. If he didn't want Brady, I'm sure he had enough say to sway a GM to pick a different player at 199. I don't think GMs and coaches are going to go to war with one another over a 6th/7th round pick. There was a Jets scout who wanted Brady, but was turned down, but that's a scout. Which is actually interesting to think about that they could have had both. I think the point is these guys are all NFL QBs so they have talent, their problem is they can’t sustain any level of consistency but one can get hot and that’s just what it is. If the guy is making all the throws and dropping dimes, and the receivers are making great catches, it’s kind of bogus to get mad at the team about that. Sometimes you just run into a guy at the wrong time. That's fair and when they do truly have a good game, all you can do is tip your cap. As frustrating as it is to lose a game you thought would come easy.

Today's game didn't do Mitch Trubisky any favors.

Sounds like congratulating a former teammate (and possible friend). I mean because we have ample evidence Judon & Mills are the sort of weak unhappy men who would take a veiled passive-aggressive shot at their head coach via social media.

Even if not intentional, they're saying, "we saw it". "We all knew it". Yet, the player was released. I think Jaylen Mills especially took the congratulating a bit too far. “It’s crazy what a coach showing a player that they believes in you can do for their confidence and performance,” That's not a dig?

Anyone who watched the games knew Jack Jones had a ton of talent. He wasn't released because he didn't have talent, he kept breaking team rules. JC Jackson apologized and said all the right things. Jack Jones took no responsibility and it's crazy he was doing this after that gun crap over the summer. It's why he was rated low in the draft, multiple off field issues at multiple colleges. Rookie year fined for not following team rules on rehab, offseason loaded guns in airport, then missed curfews with a bad attitude. Given one last chance and he did it again.
Teammates can be upset, he's very talented. I would have liked to see those two take him under their wing and get him to act like a professional. That's what team leaders and veterans should do.

If you go back to when he was released he was greatly underperforming to go along with the attitude issues. I'm not sure if he gets released if he was playing at a high level, but agreed the main reason for his release was the attitude and wish one of the leaders of the team could have reeled him in. That comment by Mills I find interesting, but it seems Bill might have been put in a no-win situation with the player. I would have just kept making him inactive instead of releasing him since he had the talent, but that's why I think recency bias played a factor.

To everyone wondering about today's game and whether or not a certain superstar is going to be in attendance. It is in fact the case, Jon Bon Jovi is in the building.

I don’t see how those are shots at the Patriots or Bill. No one questioned his ability to play, that’s not why he was cut.

Mac doesn’t make those throws, that would be back foot
Killing them with crossers. Jinxed them, there’s the negative play

Picking him may end up being the difference between picking 2nd and picking 7th lol Essentially traded a 4th to move up 5 picks in the top 10. 5D chess

That underthrown pass to Parker that worked out was such a horrible decision by Zappe. If the defender was looking, that's a pick 6.

Outside of that and not getting the ball out a few times i think he’s done reasonably well today. Just as good as Mahomes!

Zappe looks pretty good. Never going to judge a guy coming into a game late.

That's part of making those throws, reading what the CB is doing. Zappe has had great success with those going to Parker.
