I can't believe we are back in the Black Monday blender. Insane. Vrabel rumored to be interested if BB is gone. I'd be supportive, though not really sure what happened this season in Nashville. I would love that, Vrabel is a great coach.

Bill said he'd give up GM duties, for me that makes things easy, you keep him and find a GM that can work with him!

If you go new coach, I'm going with offense and making Mayo defensive coordinator because Bills sons likely leave with him no? Keep the D game plan the same, then focus on offense.
If you keep Bill, bring back Josh McDaniels!

If Bill is back, there's a very good chance the Patriots would be the Hard Knocks team in training camp. That's reason enough for me to root for another year of Bill, I need that content. Bill on the hottest of hot seats coming off his worst year, strapped with a new rookie face of the franchise and in all likelihood many new impact FA additions, surrounded by HBO cameras every day.

I refuse to believe they’ve chosen some of the teams they’ve chosen in the last 15-20 years over what was at the time a historic dynasty. Pats would’ve been a much bigger ratings draw than some of them. Greatest coach and biggest football celebrity of all time. So I gotta think he had some sort of sway there

It sounds like the best coach in the history of the sport is interested in still coaching the Patriots. Which is great news.

Keeping Bill as the head coach and getting another guy to be the GM truly is the best outcome.

I would love bill to come back as head coach and turn the reins over to someone else for GM. I think it really affected his coaching with the GM hat involved too. He needs to concentrate on coaching period. since he has been GM it has slowly gone down hill every year with poor drafts. many players are not making the cut in the NFL. Steal John Lynch from the 49ers. LOL.

Defense was mid, Tannehill was awful and then they played rookie Titans fan here, I'd also add that the O-line was absolute garbage this season in Nashville. The only NFL caliber starter they had was Skronski which you'd expect from a top 10 drafted G. Even he had his problems after the first few weeks though since he had appendicitis and missed a few games, dropped something like 20 pounds which you'd expect a rookie G to struggle a bit in that scenario.

Bill said he'd give up GM duties, for me that makes things easy, you keep him and find a GM that can work with him! He did not say that. He said, "Yeah, look, I'm for whatever, collectively, we decide as an organization is the best thing to help our football team ..." That is a somewhat vague statement, certainly open to interpretation, but is decidedly not, "I'll give up FO duties & only coach the team." To be continued ...

Zappe ended the year with worse numbers than Broken Mac across the board thanks to that game yesterday, wild. I’d still keep him around to backup. Jayden Daniels may be the guy at 3 the more I think about it I don't think I want Zappe back. He might be a decent backup, but he's nothing special. I want to take 2 shots at QB with the 3rd pick and maybe a 4th rounder. Carry 3 on the year and have a young veteran.

I personally didn't think this team was well coached this year. I'm worried if a new GM comes in either they A. Don't do anything without running it by Bill or B. Bill throws a stink and benches guys or whatever for guys that aren't "his".

That's the take away from multiple reporters that actually watched his speech, which isn't one sentence without context.

I'd say you shouldn't draft a guy at #3 if you feel you need to take another QB with around a top 100 pick in the same draft.

Because even the top QBs tend to be busts. I'd rather have a plan B ready to go instead of being empty handed and starting over from scratch. The odds of the 4th rounder being nothing more than a backup are high, but they do sometimes hit (Kirk Cousin, Dak Prescot, Russell Wilson (3rd, but still)). The RG3/Kirk Cousins draft being the most prime example of getting a franchise QB with said backup plan. Best case scenario you trade one of the two guys for future compensation after you decide which one is the better player/fit. Not to mention the rate of injuries, the odds are high both guys will have a chance to showcase themselves at some point anyways. It's just such an important position that I want to take as many shots as possible.

Jayden Daniels scares the crap out of me. Seems to me like Marvin Harrison should be the obvious pick. I agree they should not shoehorn in a QB.

Bill throws a stink and benches guys or whatever for guys that aren't "his". They could use a bigger coaching staff. Their defense seemed to be well coached considering it performed so well, but Bills lost a ton of coaches the last 5 years or so. Important position coaches that were there a long time and they haven’t really replaced them. He needs to figure out a way to build his coaching staff out.
