Jaylen must think we need Smart type three shooting. 1-10 and he keeps slinging. Ugh.

We did this without White. Wow.
Holiday 1 rebound away from a triple double.

Kornet 11 pts, 7 reb, 5-5 shooting, +7. Huge boost from the bench

A healthy Horford and Porzingis is a major issue for the league.
The problem with this team, is the best lineup doesn’t feature Jaylen.

One important subplot from this game - Kornet showed out in a game where the team needed him. Hauser and Brissett have been stringing together nice stretches as well the past few games.
If Kornet can find some consistency and Pritchard can get his act together, the Celts’ all of a sudden have a competent bench.

It’s bitter sweet seeing Grant be so good in Dallas. I love the guy and always had confidence in him continuing to get better. I’m happy he’s in a starting role and getting a lot of minutes. It hurts losing him but he wouldn’t have had the same opportunity here. It’s tough to lose him tho as he’d be great to have here long term as Al ages out. Couldn’t agree more. He’s the perfect role player for their heliocentric offense around Luka. Hits his threes and plays solid defense. I think he’s a perfect fit for what that team needs, but don’t think he would fit the same here. Not only would the minutes not be there, but our more egalitarian offense highlights his weakness as a ball handler, and our heavy drop coverage would exploit his screen navigation troubles. Not to say he wouldn’t be good here because I think Grant id an impactful basketball player in just about any team context, but I think Dallas is his best fit possible and I’ve really enjoyed seeing him thrive.

They were very much off last night and the Nets always seemed to have one guy who was hot making a lot of shots (despite overall shooting numbers not really reflecting that). It was a good win tho. You need to be able to win when you’re not playing well and they did that. It’s also another W with a poor 3 point shooting night.

It was far from perfect -- and parts were downright ugly (PG JB when Jrue & JT went out) -- but winning by 10 on the road against a likely playoff team is a very good outcome.
Great to see the Green Kornet standing tall. Great to see JT better handling getting trapped. Great to see Spry AL. Great to see 7'3" in the middle.
Gripes: When Hauser hits his 1st 3 can we make at least a small effort to get him another shot attempt, at least in the same quarter? Can we lose the PG JB idea? Can we be sure to keep Al spry?

Als minutes have been low, only averaging 21.4 mpg.. no White last night so he was going to play more. They also made a concerted effort to keep Porzingus minutes down. They didn’t put him in until late in the 4th. I started to think there was something wrong with him.

Kornet gets a lot of hate (in part because he’s a goofy white guy) but he’s a legitimate rotation player who adds value on both ends. Would prefer not to have to play him during the playoffs but he’s a valuable regular season player.

My Al gripe was more of a preemptive gripe because I so much enjoy Spry Al. It's like I'm mourning losing him while I'm enjoying watching him. Weird, huh?

It’s a concern for sure but at least we know Al is the consummate professional and does everything possible from diet to sleep to workouts and everything in between to keep his body in shape.

That trade was a stroke of genius Absolutely. I feel bad for Timelord and Smart is my favorite player of all time, but going from them to Jrue and The Porzingod is just unbelievable.

Sucks for Rob, but imagine if we didn’t make that trade and he’s now done and we are just waiting for Brogdon to go down?
