New prospects debut in the rankings, players graduate, other prospects make big jumps around that player. It's all relative. The player grade may not have changed.

The Slaten ranking already feels too low 😂

Yorke only just turned 22 but this feels like a make-or-break year for him. If he doesn't earn a promotion to Worcester and at least hold his own there in the second half, the Sox are going to have an interesting Rule 5 decision to make on him. The SP home page still has his ETA as "Late 2024," which prolly needs to be updated (as does his age). I'd love to see him force the FO's hand with a monster year in both AA and AAA, like the biggest prospects have done in the past decade or so, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Sounds like the type of player you move for a reliever at the deadline when your team is confident it's a buyer.

Kind of a bummer to me seeing Yorke drop to 11, not that I disagree with it but I still think he can be a solid ML 2nd baseman. Repeating AA after a full season isn't the greatest of signs even if part of it might be related to Grissom going to be there when his rehab assignment starts up. Hopefully Yorke can get some momentum back this season.

Cespedes and Fitts have moved up, but you'll also note that we lowered Yorke's ceiling grade.

Love it! Campbell making a big jump interests me. Would love to hear the reasoning Alex Speier said he was “hitting the snot out of the ball” in camp

This next update will be fascinating. With Ceddanne and Wilyer graduating, the back half of the T10 seems totally up for grabs.
T5 will include, in some order:
Marcelo Roman Teel Bleis Cespedes
But then, who can be locked into 6-10 with any degree of certainty?
Has Meidroth leapfrogged Yorke?
Where does Slaten slot? Relief in T10 is rare, but can he force his way in?
My guess as of today:
6. Fitts 7. Zanetello 8. Meidroth 9. Perales 10. Wikelman
Should be a fun one.

It would be really cool if there was a way to filter the system stats by order of players as determined by their current SP ranking. Would allow you to very easily see how the top prospects are doing at any given time. Just a random thought.

Would love to hear the reasoning Alex Speier said he was “hitting the snot out of the ball” in camp Was a segment on a SP podcast, where a front office member mentioned Campbell's rise and where they thought he would figure into the end of 24 season SP rankings. IIRC, was the same FO member who predicted the Anthony rocket ship.

I doubt guys like Meidroth and Zanetello would jump up ~5 spots based off a month of play in the minors, but who knows. Yorke has a .853 OPS in Portland and has been solid. I don't know what he would've done to be jumped by more people than he already has.

Zanetello wouldn’t be shocking because of his five tool upside; maybe he would have placed a touch higher than 13 if they had been able to get a ST look at him.
Meidroth, on the other hand, is probably at or very near his ranking ceiling if the player he is today is a mostly finished product.. just like how it’s hard for relievers to get higher than the mid to late 20s.
Campbell and ERC both look like big jump candidates, but it would be really aggressive to jump them all the way into the top 10. I don’t think it would be shocking if they snuck in several months from now, though.

There won't be big jumps on the top 30. Why would we do that after like 20 games?
The guys in the lower half are closer together so maybe there's more movement there, but don't expect anything big this month.
