Looks like Anthony is making up for lost time with that dinger. That thing was smoked. “That ball had a family!!!”

Lugo goes BONEYARD. 2 run jack to tie it up at 4s in the 5th.

And Yorke’s first AAA hit. A single to the opposite field.

Wehunt with a decent A+ debut: 4IP 2H 2ER 1BB 4K. Gave up a 2-run HR to top 100 prospect Sebastian Walcott.

Lugo's HR went a long way, and it wasn't even his best swing. Went down and got a slider kind of off balance.

Chase Meidroth with two doubles and a single. He's now fourth in the IL in OBP, behind James Wood and two old guys.

Interesting article on Kristian Campbell's power surge, with quotes from the Greenville hitting coach suggesting that Campbell and the team consciously sacrificed his formerly elite in-zone contact rate to hit the ball in the air more frequently J.P. Fasone: “I think that was part of the conversation with him is that we’re going to try to hit the ball in the air more and kind of look to do some more damage than he has in the past,” Fasone said. “That might come with striking out a little bit more. But because his strikeouts were so low, he had a little bit of room to give and still be within league average or below that. So I think that was part of the conversation with him and I think we expected them to be a little bit higher. But we’ll kind of trade the production for a few more strikeouts.” www.masslive.com/redsox/2024/06/fast-rising-red-sox-prospect-kristian-campbell-added-power-bat-speed.htmlFrom MLB: Red Sox: Kristian Campbell, 2B/OF (No. 30) Campbell showed average power and plus speed at Georgia Tech but those tools didn't play that well in games, enabling the Red Sox to grab him in the supplemental fourth round. They helped him make some swing changes and encouraged him to be more aggressive at the plate, and he batted .306/.418/.558 with a High-A South Atlantic League-leading .976 OPS before getting promoted to Double-A on Tuesday. www.mlb.com/news/each-organization-s-top-prospect-from-the-2023-mlb-draft?t=mlb-pipeline-coverage

I love what he is doing at the plate but am I the only one who is worried about his errors defensively? His 10th last night! Those of you seeing him, how is looking in the field?

Not that the errors aren't worrisome but he was playing 3rd last night which he's done like once or twice before to my knowledge so I'll give him a bit of a pass on that.

He's pretty smooth at SS, not worried here at all. Not GG caliber but plus in his future.

Anthony nearly tagged the big blue bug Didn't we just read about how LvL breaking balls were giving him a bit of trouble? Encouraging.
