I’m sold. I’ve had this as a sell year the whole season. Buy whatever you can with anyone outside our Top 7 prospects

Wow!
Some thoughts:
1. I've been mouthing off quite a bit on here about the Masa signing. I'll have to zip it on that for the time being.
2. KJ doesn't have nearly the stuff he did in his dominant days. But he's got big-time grit and balls. Isn't that what Kevin Garnett called it once?
3. Slight panic by me when Soto got his hit. But getting Judge to pop out was almost a clincher, I felt. Dugo is a poor excuse for a cleanup hitter and the next guy...Who was the next guy? I don't even remember, which tells you how unconcerned I was.
4. I'M GOING TO LOVE WATCHING THE POST-GAME CRYING FEST ON THE YES NETWORK!

My roommate is a Yankees fan. Tomorrow is his birthday. I’ve decided his present will be me not bringing up tonight’s game

About to be half a game behind Minn for WC2 - 1.5 games ahead of KC. A very productive evening.

I'm a big believer in Hamilton on 2nd base helping Rafaela get that pitch to hit.
All credit to Yoshida for an amazing at bat and then driving a 3-2 pitch and the 8th pitch of the at bat out of the park to tie things up in the 9th. And all credit to Rafaela for hitting the winning blast. But also not shocking that the best base-runner in baseball scored the game winning run and contributed on the bases more than just with a steal or taking an extra base.

While you are all distracted: My response to the Kenley Jansen signing on the board was "NOOOOOOOOOOOO". Oops. I wasn't quite as totally f*&king wrong as I was about Duran, but ummm. welll. I should always be taken with a grain of salt, if that wasn't already apparent.
I'm a happy Red Sox fan. Night guys.

Most overlooked part of the game? Cora pinch hitting for the guy with a hr and a double with dom smith. Dom smith with a very professional at bat to keep the game alive Cora detractor continues to be impressed. A+ tonight for the man.

This team feels different for sure. Awesome to watch It actually feels good to be stressed out about Red Sox games again. I wouldn't say I checked out for the last two years. I still watched every game but with a much less passionate feeling.

So - 2 more against MFY - then 3 Oakland and 3 KC before the All Star break. Last 6 games at home. Should be lots of wins there.

Awesome. Awesome win! Agonizing loss for the Yankees. Red Sox stole one from the Skankees.
Still a few weeks until the deadline but this team has something going on. They're buyers, not sellers. Dont give up the farm but make moves that can help the team.
They have to fix their infield defense get Casas back healthy, and find another starter but they're finding themselves as a team, and they look much better than I anticipated. Rafaela has his holes but he is improving.

The only thing that could have been better than a Sox rout is a crushing phycological heart stabber.

This is genuinely the most excited I've been about the Red Sox in a long time - not to mention the immense talent pipeline nearly ready to further contribute at the MLB level.
