Riemer playing 2B today, I believe that's the first time he's played the field?

Riemer playing 2B today, I believe that's the first time he's played the field? He's actually played 2B once before, SS twice, and DH'ed once so far.

Riemer playing 2B today, I believe that's the first time he's played the field? He's actually played 2B once before, SS twice, and DH'ed once so far. First couple of games (7/11 and 7/13) he played 5 innings in the field; on 7/15 he played a full 7.

Riemer posting a 33% BB rate and 11% K rate after a year and a half layoff is a fun start

FCL Sox win game1 and the FCL Rays lost the 1st game of their DH, so they're tied for first as of right now. We'll how their respective Game 2's go.

Juan Valera: 4IP 0H 0ER 0BB 6K
Same line as his last outing.

Juan Valera: 4IP 0H 0ER 0BB 6K Same line as his last outing. Hot take, but if he could have that same line in every single outing, I think he'd have an alright career.

I hadn't really paid any attention to Valera until recently, but wow! to that 58.6% ground-ball rate.

Arias goes single, walk, walk, HR (thus far) in game two. Average up to a neat .350 with an OPS of 1.057 and his 6th HR of the season.

People were calling for a Cespedes promotion early on this season when he was putting up video game numbers. Feel like Arias has got to be approaching a promotion soon, he clearly isn't being tested very much.

FCL has 5 more regular season games plus 4 playoff games max, so at this point they probably just have him finish.

This is the fifth time in his last seven outings that Valera has given up zero hits.
Line over that stretch: 26.2 IP 9 H 3 ER 4 BB 29 K.

The FCL season goes for another week and they're in the playoff chase, He'll probably be up after that. EDIT: Yeah what Chris said.

FCL Sox roll in Game 2 and the FCL Orioles scored 3 in the bottom of the 7th to win their game 2 against the FCL Rays 9-8. FCL Sox are now 1 game ahead in first place (over the FCL Rays) in their division and 1/2 game ahead of the FCL Tigers for the sole wild card spot, should they give up the division lead.

Can anyone privy share some underlying Arias stats? Are his EV's exciting is my main question here I remember an positive report on his EVs from Chris I think earlier in the year but not 100% on that. His profile on this site mentions he has promising EVs in the DSL last year as well. BA mentions he has above-avg bat speed as well. Given the defensive profile, I'm starting to get really excited.

Can anyone privy share some underlying Arias stats? Are his EV's exciting is my main question here I remember an positive report on his EVs from Chris I think earlier in the year but not 100% on that. From the BA Roboscout report: It's nice that he is moving up the list. But this the first time I've ever seen any kind of exit velocity metric associated with Cespedes as only average. Actually, maybe that is just sloppily written? MLB average 90th percentile EV would be quite good. But it seems like the context suggests some age/level context is considered? It's not MLB average. But it's also above average for his age, so I'm not sure what that comment is comparing to. I will say his numbers don't stand out necessarily. They're comparable to a shade worse than Arias, aren't quite as good as Musett, only a bit better than Salazar. It's nothing I'm worried about but like I've said elsewhere, he's not quite what Bleis was, for example, at the same level. This is what I was referring to, fwiw, which was back in the beginning of June and was responding to something about Cespedes.

Got a report that Arias' homers today were bombs. They played in the Braves' MLB park, not the back fields.
His EVs are great for his age. Makes good swing decisions. Would like some better in-zone contact.
