Kind of feel bad for Dalbec that he wasnt included in the deal. He could have used s change of scenery. Dalbec has been banished into the darkest realms of AAAA purgatory.

Surprisingly enoufh, Zeferjahn is actually left handed. When he comes back in town, watch him sign an autograph! I think Lugo will be useful but it will eventually clear more playing time for Campbell whom I like a lot better. Zeferjaun i was never a fan of. At best i think hes a marginal lefty reliever. No big loss. If Kavadas was ever going to play in Boston it would have been this year and he didnt get a sniff. We all know why. Maybe he can do some of that 3 true outcome stuff with LAA but hed struggle to hit .200. Never heard of Vargas. For a marginal lefty reliever, he sure throws pretty right-handed

It’s all part of the pattern.
Pick up useful short-term pieces in exchange for long-shots and positionally blocked players. Wish we could kept a couple of those pieces but the 40 man roster and Rule 5 means we were likely to lose some of them anyhow.
The question of starting pitching, as vexing as it is, is better left to the more general trade topic.

For some ungodly reason I caught end of Angels/A’s late Sunday afternoon. He came in. Angels announcer said it could be his last game. Closed game out in 9 pitches. Threw strikes. No pissing around. Groundout-Flyout-Groundout for save. Looked good
