Van Belle was horrible as a starter, but seems to be much, much better in relief. Does his stuff play up enough in relief to be considered at some point in the future as a reliever in Boston?

He doesn't miss enough bats. On the other hand, he does induce a lot of GBs. I'd guess he's more of a break glass in case of a fire type.

Could we see Roman called up before seasons end?

Roman 2/3 with a BB and a 2B again today, now batting 0.352 for AAA with an OPS of 1.000.

5 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 2 ER, 7 K (17 whiffs) Seems there’s momentum to get him a final start in Boston. Good for Quinn!

Teel has also been doing well hitting recently. Personally, I attribute the small downturn to the fact that he's caught a lot more innings this year than he ever has. Catching is tiresome as evidenced by Wong's second half declines.

He's fine.
