With a Sox off day its too bad it can't show us the PawSox/SWB game. Oh well, I guess there are too many Charlie Moore and Liverpool fans around.

Another good+ start from Chris Hernandez. Seems like a guy that is at least destined for an opportunity with the big club next season. If they can get a 4 ERA guy for the back of the rotation who is a GB pitcher, that could fill a need for next season.
I know the 2013 projected rosters have him in the pen in Pawtucket, but I think he's earned an opportunity to continue in the rotation. It's going to be a stacked, and fun to watch Pawtucket pitching staff. Stolmy/Britton & Dodgers guys + hopefully Hernandez

You could have said the same thing about Alex Wilson at this point last year.

Of course. But even though he's a lefty, it's not like he has overpowering stuff that really profiles as a great RP. The system is also stocked with RP's, and a mediocre starter is much more valuable than a mediocre reliever. He's a guy that seems to need to get in a groove to get results, rather than just stepping out there and doing it for an inning. When I say he's "earned it", I more so mean that at least to me, he's proven there is a chance he can be an effective starter.
I know his R/L splits are pretty drastic in AAA, and if he does get converted to a RP that will be why, but at least in college, his splits weren't all that different

factor in the sox have more pen depth than starting pitching depth
weve already converted a few guys this season(huntzinger and wilson come to mind right now)
was at the pawsox game tonight and here are a few things i picked up
austin romine is not the hype the yanks and their fans make him up to be. he hits weak grounders and can look lost at the plate, however he has a cannon arm and can handle a pitching staff, i feel helll be a good ML backup but not a starter on a team like the yankees
scrantons defense was terrible tonight jon hees 7th inning hit should have been an error
a postive note bryce brentz looked very good at the plate and on the bases, he flat out was hustling tonight and was smart on the bases as well by going 1st to 3rd on the jon hee single in the 7th inning, which forced a wild throw by garner. he made a nice opposite field hit by chipping it over the seconbaseman. i liked the approach by not trying to swing for the fences but do his job but getting the tying run it.
