Scenario 1: Trade Drew and Hazelbaker to Oakland in exchange for a pitching prospect (The only thing I know about their farm is that they have pitching - which Milwaukee needs) who can then be flipped to Milwaukee for Aramis Ramirez.
Scenario 2: Trade Britton/Workman to Milwaukee straight-up for Ramirez. Then either trade Drew to a 3rd team or wait for Iglesias/Drew to get injured.
For 2014 the Red Sox can either offer Napoli or Ramirez a 1 year deal to return to play 1B Ramirez can play 1B in 2014(the other options don't seem so great) and either Middlebrooks or Bogaerts can take over 3B.
Let me know what you guys think as far as value. Not sure how much value Ramirez still has but figure his bat is worth a solid pitching prospect.

Why would the Brewers do that? Would you trade Napoli for David Goforth? He's got a cool name, but no you wouldn't do that. Ramirez is going to be sought after, probably by the Dodgers, Yankees, and others. It'll cost the Red Sox at least two prospects, one being pretty decent maybe they try to buy low on Matt Barnes and and get someone like Jacobs or Holt too.

Ramirez is signed for $16 million next year and has a $15 million mutual option for 2015 with a $4 million buyout, according to Cot's.But yes, I agree that any deal for Aramis Ramirez would likely make him a first baseman next year. Disregarding the specific proposals here, I've been thinking it might be interesting to see if the Red Sox would try to take on both Ramirez and Gallardo.

Given his contract, I can't imagine the Yankees even looking at him. Dodgers maybe, if they don't try and get a shortstop (maybe this is where the Red Sox can send Drew?) 35, recent injury, iso-power down 81 points this year and guaranteed another $20 mil... My offer probably is too low, but I can't imagine the trade market being amazing for him. For what it's worth, ZIPs and Steamers both consider Drew to be more valuable overall.

I wouldn't mind him. Provides that RH power we need and still buts up a good OBA. He hit 17 HRs after the break last year. Depends on the cost and if the front office thinks WMBs or Xander could handle 3B in a playoff race.
