Watching the Sox last night and imagining some of the injured players back in the lineup and on the mound.... this could be an amazing team. Despite all the injuries and low BAs for replacement players, they exude hope. And grit.

No way. Duran is our sparkplug, especially with Rafaela at shortstop. The outfield is great. The pitching is great. The catchers are very good.
Just fix the infield.

Get Iggy from the Mets. Iggy should have been a Sox lifer.

Declined Sox's invitation to Opening Day, honoring the 2004 World Series winners and Tim Wakefield.
What a turd. I didn't even like him in 2004.

And yet...it's on NESN.

Earlier it said today's game was on NESN. Now NESN says it's on Fubo.

I agree, bmoney. Kennedy and up. So far, they haven't given the slightest explanation for not spending $30 million to get to the first level.
I fell out of love with the FO once they kicked and tarnished Tito, Theo, and the list goes on

There's an article in the Guardian today that Liverpool -- FSG's soccer team -- lost 9 million pounds 2022-23. Sorry, it's behind a paywall.

If you could sign Montgomery or Snell, disregarding details, which one would you choose?

I use NESN. It's a lot cheaper than Fubo ($30 rather than $70-some). It'll always be the station for Jerry and Eck for me.

Gerry, I agree with you 100%. At this point, let's cheer on the people on the roster.

Finally, good news out of theRedSox camp. The best off-season signing we could have.
Now fire Kennedy.

It's all a cleverly designed smokescreen.
This coming week, Craig will announces the signing of --
Montgomery Snell Stephenson and Adam Duvall.
We're all set. Other teams fell for our head fake ("Have to trade x and y before we can afford a free agent.")
Masterful.

Also, if they're not spending, then why were they in on Yamamoto?
As someone wise here said, I'll believe it (no spending) when Alex Speier writes about it.

As I said, I like him. I just wish he was a good defender. And that's a big drawback. If he can start hitting for some power, that would help a lot.

I like Masa -- good hitter. No speed, no defense. Sox don't need him as a dh.
I wonder if part of the reason they signed up last year was because he is a friend and played with Yamamoto? Hoping to tip the free agent die in their favor. I suspect that was a Larry Luccino idea. But I 'm just joking.
Trade Masa to the Dodgers (where Yamamoto is). Eat much of the contract. Move Durran to LF, sign Adam Duvall for CF. O'Neill in RF. Resign JT for DH.
Sign Montie and Stephenson.
Done?

I don't buy it at all.
They need to improve the team. Partly they an do this by shrewd trades, such as for Grissom. But there's only so much they can do if they're committed to stay under the first cap.
They (owners) didn't like getting boo'ed last year. They didn't like the drop in attendance, nor the diminished viewership on NESN.
If they aren't going to properly invest in the Red Sox, they need to sell the team. By "properly investing," I mean spend enough to get the team into playoff contention, year after year.
I hope I'm correct and this is just click bait. I'm pretty sure Breslow wouldn't have hitched his team to the wagon if he didn't have promises for more spending.
