I'm all for it, but he's made three errors in nine games at third so far. If he does that in Boston in a pennant race and it costs them a game, I'm afraid we'll see Farrell just relegate him to pinch running/pinch hitting duties. Hope I'm wrong and I hope we at least get a chance to find out.

This is getting embarassing now. Haven't we let this go on long enough? The dude is off the deep end and has no intention or desire to change.

Last year Moncada had exactly the opposite in terms of L/R splits. He crushed lefties and was okay against righties. Granted it was a smaller sample and against weaker pitching, and the K rate doesn't lie, but are we sure he's really that much worse as a LHB and a large part of it isn't just noise?

Matt Barnes really is a boom or bust relief pitcher. You're being extremely generous.

I hope deepjohn is as right about Kopech as he was wrong about the Teheran trade. hey man sometimes your sources burn you. happens to all insiders.

I'm thinking 4-5m dollar bonus. Start him in Greenville and put him on the fast track.

Also, not to blaspheme, but Chris Young is very likely a better hitter against LHP right now.

What's Owens' bWAR per 32 starts now?

I agree. It's annoying to have to do nothing but criticize a prospect who I think is pretty damn good and definitely exciting. We should start a new chapter in this thread and anyone who doesn't follow suit (myself included) shouldn't be allowed to post in here.

I just wanna know, two weeks from now when he does not get called up to MLB, are you going to admit that it's because he's not close to ready or are you going to contrive some excuse that still allows for your theory that he's the greatest pitching prospect of all time?

"But again, they were not nearly as good as where Kopech has been trending since developing his deceptive secondary pitches only about three starts ago (and after the start I think you saw)"
You have not watched any of these starts and anyone who has says literally the exact opposite of this. You are still arguing in bad faith and imo should be banned for trolling.

Still waiting for an explanation on those wild pitches. Is that the hitter's fault too?

How do you not just throw it over the plate in that situation. Go to hell, Ziegler.

Well we weren't talking about Keith Law but you just agreed with what I said. They're all talking about velocity. They're not talking about his secondary pitches or his command or his ability to remain a starter, which is what deepjohn was trying to imply. There's a reason Kopech barely made Klaw's midseason top 50, and it's not because he thinks he's Noah 2.0oah.

Can we make Mookie a player-coach? Can we try him in the bullpen?

Guys... I don't think Fernando Abad is very good at all. John Farrell is A VERY BAD MANAGER. That literally cannot happen from beginning to end. That's as bad as a managed move as you'll ever see. How does that happen? These are must-win games. How is that allowed to happen? Yeah, should have brought in our shutdown LOOGY...oh, wait.
