I actually really like this team and really do believe they can surprise people if that darn OL holds up. Now surprising people likely means fighting for a playoff spot or sneaking into a last seed type thing. If the OL holds up, do you agree with my previous idea of having BAZOOKA JOE coming in on any given random down to throw a hail mary? I feel like we really need this!

Without Queta we look under talented in the league. This is not a league. It's random friendly games.

When was the last time the Sox drafted someone as a two-way guy? Trey Ball!

The air time that lip read comments Jaylen Brown supposedly said about Bronny James in a private conversation with his girlfriend while watching the game are insane. It pretty much highlights the state of sports media. And he wasn't wrong or disrespectful.

I'm having fun with the game, great defense by Walsh and Davison, sadly not enough anything else. But truly good defense! Scheierman really not involved.

Mayer Teel and Now Montgomery falling to us in 3 of the last 4 years. Each guy we were smart enough to snag. 2 are our top 3 prospects. How fuking AMAZING!!! So proud of this teams drafts and not ever overthinking. The future really looks better and better every single day. Monty falling I can kind of see because of injury, but Teel falling was just unbelievable. It was a you had to be there moment on this board for sure.

I’d rather have better depth next year in what I know will be a legitimate championship window than worry about theoretical cap benefits a few years from now. For the sake of clarity here, I do NOT want to trade Fast PP and there’s no way I could defend such move. My point is, if they WANT to go under the second apron, they flat out could. They shouldn’t, but they could.

Betts was drafted as a 2b, not SS. If they took 20 pitchers, and 2 made the majors as starters, would that be considered a good draft year? As STARTERS? Like legit MLB starters? Absolutely yes.

My friends, what are the odds Griffin falls? I’ve seen some stuff and I’m a believer in that dude!

Just got in from Longlegs. Wong/Yoshida/Abreu really carried them offensively, damn. Houck is ace How was it? No spoilers please because I’m a huge Nic Cage fan, I’m dying to see that movie.

Sam Vecenie was mentioning that the Celtics could potentially get under the 2nd apron if they traded Payton Pritchard, Springer and something else. If that’s the case, you gotta do it. Trading Pritchard for an extra year or two of Jrue/White is worth it imo. Soxprospect user Don Caballero talked about it too earlier in the thread. Trouble is, who are you going to replace Fast PP with? I love Sam Hauser, but I don’t trust him to be our whole bench offense. And if Jrue or White go down, you’re boned.

I see Embiid as the ultimate ring chaser when he gets older, he would be a great fit for the C's in about 4 years from now with middle career Tatum and Brown No thanks. F*ck Embiid.

I'd have had Bello starting tonight at the Woo. I've not been a Cora fan since his rehire, but he's doing a solidly above average job this year working his guys. Man is getting it done, and exceeding my (admittedly low) expectations in 2024. Keep reading Cora isn't coming back next year. If that is the case I think we fans are gonna find out how good we had it. Cora is doing a great job, it would be a shame to watch him leave before the big prospects are ready to contribute. He deserves a more talented squad.

2 year deal to return for Tillman Huge get, Tilman was bad last season but he has some good upside and has shown enough in his career. This is a much better investment than their other options. I BELIEVE they could clear the second apron if they deal Fast PP and Springer, but if you deal Fast PP then who’s the sixth man? The Porzingod is injured until like Christmas.

Seeing he’s always pitched well against the MFY, I think he’s given one more chance after this start before the team starts taking action on next steps. Whats next steps though ? He is our guy, part of the core and needs to learn from this. He needs to make adjustments at the big league level. A punitive demotion does not help him do that. I don't mean a punitive demotion, just a fake IL stint. Get him a couple of weeks off to work on his mechanics and maybe relax him a bit. He's too good to be bad forever, maybe he's just stressed.

Ready for this: Drummond is only 30…. Somehow… no idea how, but it’s true Yeah but I feel like that's 30 in dog years you know, dude has that grandpa body. He is, at this point, a backup C while Hartenstein is closer to a starter. OKC did overpay, but I don't hate it and they HAD to do something. And on the topic of Wyc selling the team, PLEASE dear God no circus owner. The Celtics are the most respectable franchise in the NBA. Keep it that way.

lol, my bad. They could have just signed Drummond if they just needed rebounding. But anytime you can add a non-shooting, non-play making big who can rebound for $29m a year you should definitely do it lol. Drummond is old and sh*t, Hartenstein is still young and actually great defender. They did overpay, but the fit was there!

3/87m for Hartenstein… lol Don't be like that RJP lol they needed rebounding and they got the best option they could. The absolute BEST option they had was to trade every pick for Lauri Legend, but maybe that wasn't an option!
