No. Punt Zappe to the Vikings for a 7th. No, trade Maye to the Vikings and make Bazooka Joe the QB from W1 to the moon 🚀🚀🚀 I love Maye, if this was Jayden Daniels I’d unironically support that.

I have zero issues throwing Joe Milton to the Wolves if Brissett goes down. If you believe in him, that's not smart for his development and remember he's more raw than Maye. Sure seemed like they protected him first game and put him in a position to succeed, rather than throwing him in the deep end to see how he does. 2nd not easy to sell to media/fans why Milton would start over Maye. Where it's much easier to sell Zappe taking over given his experience. The problem is carry 4 QBs is going to cost you likely a good young player at WR or CB. No. Punt Zappe to the Vikings for a 7th.

Joe Milton is the answer to a poor line, defenders shatter into dust trying to tackle that Greek god of a man It's funny that Drake Maye is my favorite prospect the Pats ever drafted and yet I keep rooting to see BAZOOKA JOE getting more playing time. Dude's awesome.

His footwork isn't that bad, his throwing mechanics were kind of wonky, but Maye isn't a longterm project. He shouldn't start the year as the starting QB, but he should be ready by midseason. I know I sound like a broken record on this, but Maye reminds me so much of Justin Herbert, the throwing mechanics are VERY similar for college players and they both can air it out like maniacs. Maye needs to work on processing the field and avoiding sacks, but there's nothing fundamentally broken. I want to stress I'm super high on him. I think he's just really young and the report on him is that his footwork needs work. He probably needs to grow and mature a bit more as well. With that said, my point is more that they also likely didn't want to have to deal with the fallout of people freaking out after the first preseason game of his career. Oh I get it friend, I didn't mean to sound like you were down on him. This is probably Mayo trying to figure out if he should carry Zappe or BAZOOKA as the third string QB. But I just wanted to point out that Maye isn't that far along. He could start in games THIS YEAR and be aight.

What could possibly go wrong?

Or Mayo is terrified that Maye's footwork is still a mess and panicks when the pocket starts collapsing and doesn't want to have to have to put unnecessary pressure and angst on the player and the staff. Not saying he sucks, but if he looked bad then there's just an avalanche of nonsense that would follow. I feel like Mayo is giving Zappe a chance to audition for another job. He had that pass to Booty, now end this charade and give us Bazooka Joe throwing nukes.

Only now I was able to join in, will we see Maye again? If it’s not Maye or Bazooka Joe I’m not watching this.

I just have to say about Maye it hasn't been a camp competition because he's always getting 2nd string offense, especially OL. Our top OL has issues and with injuries the 2nd unit isn't close to good. They haven't been rotating like you'd normally see in a legit competition. Mayo when asked said they would get Maye a run on first team at some point this camp. I have zero issues with this, just adding context that some negative reports aren't mentioning about him. Heck one reporting, who I think might be Don was talking about Milton starting lol. I'm definitely not worried after like 4 days in pads. There is plenty to build off of. Meanwhile Jaylen Daniels is named starter the first week of camp. We'll see how that goes for the one season wonder. To be fair here, Daniels is nearly 2 years older than Maye, it would not be shocking if he starts off faster than Maye. It would be shocking if he ends up as a better player than Maye.

Did you guys see the NFL ranking of best players for 2024-25? Mahomes was 4th, CMAC was 3rd. Anyone who believes Lamar and Hill are better than Mahomes and CMAC are absolutely watching the wrong sport, what happened to the game I love?
Real rankings:
1- Mahomes 2- CMAC 3- Bazooka Joe 4- Blaze Jordan 5- Micah Parsons

I must know what the yellow on Joe Milton means Means “draft him and put him in random Hail Mary downs”. I know that umass doesn’t agree with me, but play into his nickname. Let him bazooka the ball real far.

The needless drama around Brown, Hill, White, Tatum...ugh. Kerr's decision to not play him a single minute today was..... interesting. I don’t think there’s ACTUAL drama. Brown seems to understand why he was left out and doesn’t seem to hold it against White, which would be senseless. Not playing Tatum was weird, but this is as close to an exhibition contest as it gets, the talent disparity is huge.

Marcus Stroman's peripherals compared to his ERA is giving me cancer, please rock him as hard as possible. To be fair, the Sox (even the Friday iteration) have no excuse not to absolutely rock these projected starters. Cortes is an aight pitcher.

DO NOT GIVE UP A SINGLE THING AT THE DEADLINE. This team is bad and doesn’t deserve wasting prospects on. The way that (I assume) adults turn into total crybabies when a baseball team has a bad week is a fascinating watch. The opposite of being excessively negative isn’t to just be delusional.

Sometimes when you face the most expensive team in the league and you're a small market team, stuff like this happens. Too much talent 1-9.
