Is this an aesthetic problem? Because as far as baseball goes, I would argue that we do not have enough information on Victorino's RHB vs. RHP skill yet ... information we desperately need in order to plan for next year. But we have plenty of info on him as a LHB vs. RHP and so far it has been far superior to his performance right-handed vs. RHP. No, it hasn't. Shane Victorino, career: As L, vs. R: .266/.328/.398, 93 wRC+ (3272 PAs) As R, vs. R: .260/.325/.448, 113 wRC+ (213 PAs) Granted, his strikeout and walk percentages are much lower as R vs. R, and his production there is inflated by what might be an unsustainable number of HBPs. But either way, it is not at all clear whether Victorino should continue to hit righty vs. righties or if he should go back to switch-hitting.

I would prefer him to pinch hit Nava for Gomes in that case. Oh, sure. But we already know he doesn't do that.

I am sad to see betts go. Not sure his defense in the outfield was mlb ready, but I think his bat is ready.
Can someone please revive the pedroia to San Fran trade?

Pedroia is not getting traded. Nor should he be traded. There is no discussion.
I'm excited to see what RDLR can do in the second half. His ceiling is huge. And his performance this season has made me decidedly optimistic about his future. Hopefully Xander can be jumpstarted by his HR last night.

Royals color commentator on Vazquez: "Actually, his arm is average, but his transfer from glove to hand is really special".
Hm... I dunno... his throws also seem very accurate.

Rubby is having a bit of trouble throwing strikes, but JBJ sure isn't.

FOX KC still lists Victorino as a switch-hitter, LOL.
He must have broken an unwritten rule or something by giving up switch hitting.
I'm surprised it's so rare, I'm sure there are other players who could benefit ... I'm looking at you, Daniel Nava.

Twice in a row, Vazquez calls for a fastball inside, Rubby misses up and out.

Nice block by Vazquez, that pitch did not go where he was expecting it at all, but incredibly fast movement.

Until that last batter every pitch in the inning was a fastball. Vazquez sure is trying to make Rubby get it where he wants it to go.

FOX KC spent Napoli's entire plate appearance talking about what a great guy Jonny Gomes is, and now they are talking about what a great baseball player he is.
Well, your fans are prepared now, pull the trigger on the trade, Royals!

Did they show the video on the TV broadcast of Bradley yesterday throwing a ball from home plate into the center field bleachers? It was a throw of more than 400 feet. MLB is showing it on gameday.

Someone make me feel better. Tell me every team's fans are infuriated by their team's baserunning habits.

Xander seems to take too many pitches and often gets into a to strike hole. I wonder if he is ready to hit as he pitcher throws the ball or just takes the first few pitches.

No way that play should have been close with a fast guy like Dyson... JBJ showing off his cannon arm.

KC commentators blame Holt, not Gomes.
Say infielder is supposed to wave but not shout, so he can hear outfielder.

The quicker Gomes is in a Royals uniform the better.

I get it's the outfielders ball, but Holt was right under it for chrissakes. Absurd move by Gomes. Lucky it didn't hurt us.

Nice barehanded play by Butterfield. More hype for Gomes from KC guys: Ortiz has 19 HRs against KC in over 400 ABs, Gomes has 14 HRs against KC in 95 ABs. Nobody cares of course (at-bats? Who do you think I am, Ruben Amaro Jr.?) but keep hyping him ... maybe someone from the team is watching and we'll get a C-Prospect in return.
