Painful to watch that inning. This whole season has been painful and depressing.

Miller's hit-batter led to this mess. Maybe Farrell so pissed he took him out for it? No way Longoria wasn't going to deliver.

Why does Farrell still think Miller can't get through an inning?

Why does Farrell still think Miller can't get through an inning? I guess he talked to Bobby Valentine, he was the same way with Andrew. Would never let him pitch an inning.

Why does Farrell still think Miller can't get through an inning? Good question. On the surface seem like a dumb move.

Strange. I like Farrell. I do think he's a bright man, but I don't think it shows in his decision making, particularly in game situations. Miller has been dominant against both lefties and righties this season and he gets treated like a LOOGY. We know that regardless of how Farrell manages the Sox are certainly capable of winning the Series with him at the helm, but I honestly feel that Francona over time became a much better game manager. Perhaps Farrell can use a stronger bench coach to help him with strategy.

And Farrell continues to treat him that way, time after time. He took out the option of a follow up reliever should Taz have issues by removing him and Miller had his wipeout curve tonight. Nobody was going to hit the thing. Just bad move after bad move in the relief dept he is making. I was thinking everything was all setup after Lester made it through 6 with the high pitch count, but ohhh-nooo.. Take him out for no discernible reason.

On the plus side, at least we were not 1 hit again.

If it hits the line with topspin and goes it's a HR? Ortiz probably gets that call if he's in a Ray's shirt.

That was totally a home run, completely wrong call. IF you TiVo that he catches the ball high then the force of the catch pulls the mitt down... Please trade Jerry to the rays as he is annoying or better yet send him to Frisco with Peavy... Such a mouth that man has.

Napoli couldn't see that. Desmond's head/helmet blocked him from it.
