This looks like the same Allen Webster as the last Allen Webster.

Why kind of idiot tries to steal on Vazquez? Or double steal for that matter.

So... Steven Wright to make the next Peavy start?

Because you (or in this case, they) steal on the pitcher, not the catcher.

So... Steven Wright to make the next Peavy start? Anthony Ranaudo please, i am not interested in seeing a 29 year old knuckle ball pitcher pitch for us. we need to give the young kids opportunities.

I will give him this - THAT was different for Webster. Gives up a 2-run double on a cookie, then a walk, then a double steal - then goes on to K the next two guys. Let's see how he handles the next inning.

So you don't want to see a 29 year old knuckleballer no matter how good he is? If he were capable of consistently delivering a 2.50 ERA that wouldn't matter to you at all, just because he's 29 years old and throws a knuckle ball? Well, there's no arguing with taste...

And two walks in a row. This guy's head is a bag of cats.
Walks to a .253 and .115 hitter, btw.

5 walks and we're in the top of the 4th. He also walked the lead-off batter to start the game and got a lucky called strike. Still has no command.

Allen Webster is bad. Too bad.
This should be his only start for the Red Sox this year. It's Workman time.

Webster's stuff, all of it, has so much movement on it that it's almost silly looking.
Add: Just walked in for the rest of the game. Lot of angst in the thread. Are people going to be upset if he ends up winning?

It's too bad Webster is so mental on the mound. He has the stuff.

Come on now. Farrell is going to let him go so they can see if there is anything there. News flash, The season is over. Now it is time to start addressing next season. Ben was fairly candid about that and at the same time signaled to other teams the shop is open. Betcha he and the team are busy right now.
