Am I the only one having MLB problems right now ? Amazon tv, unwatchable. Two different PCs, unwatchable. Panasonic smart app on tv, can watch. I'm getting tired of it. Try this for a bandwidth test: mlb.mlb.com/tools/bandwidthdetect/index.htmlNot that there's much you can do about it if it's not good.

Welp... let's hope we really do have a 3-3-3-3-3 rotation. Would be pretty awful if it turned out to be a 5-5-5-5-5 instead. Yeah, and maybe the Phillies are contenders.

LOL, 10-4 now. Didn't see it but Miley gave up 3
I got it back but I had no MLB feed, even their home page.
LOL, 11-4. The issue is obviously that Buchholz neglected to buy two I'm the ace t-shirts.

Yeah, and maybe the Phillies are contenders. Sure, if Ryan Howard hits 2 home runs every game...

I see some of you are already in midseason critic form.... I tried to poke fun of it. More fun to join in. Most pitchers go through a spring flat spot, today the entire pitching staff was flat. Obviously Swihart has a lot to work on. Where are those spring CERA stats ? . . . But Masterson has been around long enough to learn an important lesson about spring training: It's almost never a predictor of future performance.
"I was even saying to somebody else, 'Man, last year I sliced and diced in spring training, and it [his season] wasn't very good,'" he said. "The year before ... everyone hit homers, and I did great. So it just means I'm working, going through some stuff, and honestly, I was just really excited about how things progressed."
Masterson also knows, though, that trying to convince fans that he'd just had a positive, exciting outing, while giving up six runs, might not work so hot.
"Convince them? No. I mean, they're fans," he chuckled. "I mean, I was trying to convince myself. I'm still a competitor, and it's supposed to be like, 'You're working. No, you're progressing. You're this and this.' And I'm like, 'I know. But it stinks when you see a guy hit a homer off you.' But that's the hard part.
"You know, as a hitter, you're going out there and you might strike out, you might roll over one, and that's the thing. But as a pitcher, this is when you're getting your work in. So yeah, you'd like to be A-plus, knocking people out. But unfortunately, this is when you get your work in, and everyone gets to see it. So when you're a little bit off, everyone gets to see how off you were." espn.go.com/blog/spring-training/post/_/id/2818/masterson-not-discouraged-after-poor-start

Don't touch that dial, the Mets will be showcasing both Harvey and Syndergaard. MLB is showing an icon for a TV broadcast which is a bit unusual for the Mets. Hope that's right. mlb.mlb.com/mlb/scoreboard/index.jsp#date=03/16/2015. . . Pete Abraham ?@peteabe #RedSox: Betts CF, Pedroia 2B, Ortiz DH, Ramirez LF, Sandoval 3B, Napoli 1B, Victorino RF, Bogaerts SS, Hanigan C, Kelly RHP

Ah OK, thanks for that. I was reading my page wrong, thought the icons were for games below not above. Added note by the way is that Zach Wheeler went for an MRI Saturday (right elbow), Mets should announce the results today. . . . Maureen Mullen ?@maureenamullen RedSox Ps v NYM: Kelly (3 IP), Wright, Escobar, Mujica, Ogando, Tazawa, Hinojosa.

I'm pretty disappointed the Red Sox are showcasing Betts to the Mets. But I wish him the best of luck on his new team that rhymes with his name.

True but Betts and Kelly for Harvey and Syndegaard is a lot more reasonable than Swihart for Hamels. Obviously a huge showcase game here. ADD: Its obviously why the Mets elected to get Wheeler an MRI with results today so that they have more info.

What if Harvey fails to impress in his showcase though? Could have huge consequences.

It seems rather transparent to me but we'll know for sure when our reporters tell us if there are team officials at the game. It's a well known fact that team officials only watch games when a trade is under consideration.

Chris Cotillo ?@chriscotillo 9s9 seconds ago Zack Wheeler has torn his UCL and likely needs Tommy John surgery, according to multiple reports. Wow. #Mets
That kills it.
Earlier in the year, I had hopes that the Sox would pursue Wheeler. The Mets have been rumored to be looking to trade Gee for a shortstop, now I guess they won't.

Tim Britton ?@timbritton 2 min. On the plus side, Ogando hit 96 a few times and looked good in a 1-2-3 inning with two punchouts and a pop-up.
Nice!

Aren't all the reporters tweeting this stuff at the game? What did the trainer look at?

Go Mookie.
Double high off the Monster that would have been a HR in Fenway and a triangle triple.
