Totally missed his location with that pitch to A-Rod. The catcher set up away, and Buc left that over the middle of the plate.
Edit: despite the geniuses on ESPN saying it was "not a bad spot"

Hey, remember how Buchholz was supposed to be healthy or good? Nope. He's just incredibly inconsistent.

I agree with ESPN that that was a pretty good pitch. I do not agree with ESPN's decision not to show a replay of the play at the plate.

Nice job Clay! Way to save the bullpen. Awful. Might as well leave him out there now. That was a frisbee toss.

Both of those extra base hits were over the middle of the plate.

Such a joke.
Thank god this scrub isn't starting the home opener. The paying fans deserve better.

There is a lot of value in having an exceedingly inconsistent pitcher. If Buchholz has a 5.5 era at the end of the season it's much better if he reaches that number by having a dozen games with a 63 ERA. Those 12 games are auto-losses, but the other 6-7 games he pitches before going on the DL are basically auto-wins.

God, was looking forward to this game all day.
Of course Clay had to ruin it in 10 minutes.

Here's to hoping Tanaka loses it and this turns into a classic slugfest.

Kruk just said Brock holt was arguably our best hitter last year. I'd really like to hear that argument.

Still, there were several ground balls in that inning that weren't fielded properly. Maybe we get out of that inning.
