This inning is terrible, but also is how the big league club has like 20% of its wins so far.

Moncada being introduced to the automatic 3-0 strike - walks on 5 straight balls. Grand slam opportunity passed on to Chief Chavis. .500 OBP! Could someone explain to me why automatically taking on 3-0 is still so widespread? It just seems so stupid to me. Because the chances that you're going to walk are still really high, even if you don't do it on the very next pitch. And early in a game against a pitcher who is laboring the upside of swinging just isn't all that high. Make the other guy work, and there's still a great shot at getting on first.

Ah, cool! They're having a RHP now so Yoan will bat from his strong side! I gave him a mulligan for those first 2 PAs but now expecting Dingers!

For the Greenville club, with so many of the talented bats to have a dinger of a drop in single by Longhi, then a bunch of walks forcing in runs.. Followed by the Miller dbl just now to clear 3? Very strange, though patient AB's, except by Chavis.

Moncada playing 3rd base coach, trying to hold the runner after scoring himself. Runner goes anyway and scores comfortably, 3 RBIs for Miller.

Good adjustment by Moncada on a grounder that bounced off the pitcher's leg.

Moncada's error gave away 3 runs. He had to be nervous.

Through 109 ABs Garin Cecchini batting a less than robust .183 with an OPS of .496. Very non-Ceccchini like. There are times in the past his OBP wasn't far from that OPS.

He must be drinking the same tap water as Allen Craig, Shane Victorino, Mike Napoli, Travis Shaw, Daniel Nava and the right half of Pablo Sandoval.
Although it looks like Victorino might have recently switched to bottled.

The swing in performances by some of our players has been astounding the last couple of years. It's like there is no middle-ground.
