Eh... tell me one thing they're doing better than they were earlier (except for Wade Miley). Porcello and Buchholz have smoothed out a bit and shown some more consistency. What does that mean? How does it manifest itself? Eh... tell me one thing they're doing better than they were earlier (except for Wade Miley). Earned runs. Your favorite stat. But earned runs have a very poor correlation to good pitching. So your answer is basically: they're not doing anything better, they're just luckier.

Sean McAdam ?@sean_McAdam 21s21 seconds ago Farrell on Victorono: "General overall soreness, centralized somewhat in left calf." [lol] Shoot, I've called out of work before on much shaky grounds than "general soreness".

WNBA players laugh at "gerenal overall soreness."
Just sayin.

Starting Nava against a lefty is a terrible decision. The way catcher, rf, and first base have all been black holes in this lineup this year has been killer. Can't wait for Rusney, and thankfully Napoli is looking better.

Ergo: Farrell must really hate JBJ because we all know how much he loves playing Nava.

Sorry, I know this is tongue in cheek, but just to clarify-- the linked article does not include any evidence that the reason JBJ is not playing is because he couldn't hit those guys.

Sox are lucky this whole dumb deflate gate thing is dominating the local sports media. They would be getting roasted any other year at this point...

The article isn't the evidence. The fact that he continues to trot Daniel Nava out there when Nava looks like one of the worst hitters in the majors so far.

Pedroia probably should have put on the brakes there, though it was not an easy play for the pitcher by any means.

Holt just doesn't have the arm to be a plus defensive 3B. Also why he's not an ideal defensive SS.

How can we honestly expect to score runs when our "leader" makes stupid plays like Pedroia does there?
EDIT: Then again that was probably a directive from Farrell. The king of not knowing when to be and to not be aggressive.

[quote source="/post/142321/thread" author=" jmei" time I've gotta say Jmei that you are simply amazing on a regular basis and sometimes clearly genius. Whatever you do for a career, you could work for any of the top orgs in baseball with your analytical ability.[/quote] He also explains stats to non stat heads like me without talking down to people. He'd be a plus in any baseball team's front office, but my guess is he'd have to take a pay cut.

I mean yes Farrell isn't the best manager out there, but that has nothing to do with Farrell , can't blame him for everything
