Swihart hasn't impressed me with his defensive work so far. In these first games he even dropped some called/swinging strikes.

Hanley might be a 1B after all. I never had any doubts. Price sure is getting a lot of strikeouts through his first two starts

Bad non-challenge, his foot definitely came off the bag.

Is Farrell ever going to use a challenge??

He's consistent. Price got a K on an AB where all the pitches were that far outside. Well I guess you were just complaining about his move where he raises his left leg to celebrate the strikeout.

Bad non-challenge, his foot definitely came off the bag. Second missed one by whomever is doing the video review for the Sox already this year. And this umpire is a war criminal.

I don't understand the stubbornness in challenging. Do they think there's somehow gonna be a more appropriate play to challenge than the leadoff batter/baserunner in a tied game? C'mon.

Eeh... Yup, as I was saying, if it's outside and vertically around the middle of the zone, it gets called a strike. The Price AB I was thinking about was against a RHH but it's the same story on both sides.

Everything is always hit hard against Barnes. Leaves way too many pitches over the middle of the plate.

Noe is better than Barnes and I'm not even reacting to what's going on right now: I just like the arm angle better and the capacity to get GB.

Trumbo wouldn't have made that play, but hey, at least he can hit home runs.

Trumbo wouldn't have made that play, but hey, at least he can hit home runs. I've figured it out. Trumbo prepared for the series by watching game film of Hanley last year.

I get it, but I really hate Shaw coming out of the game in the 6th inning.

More aggressive baserunning in this inning. I thought Holt taking third there was dumb, but hey, I like being wrong in this context.

Swihart's defense is a real weakness. The constant backhanding of balls in the dirt has to stop.

Sox lucky to be tied here, getting outslugged .500 to .360 (OBP is .355 to .357).

David Ortiz hasn't hit a triple since 2013, and apparently he's stopped trying to do so.
And here's where pinch-hitting for Shaw comes back to bite Farrell in the *ss. Though he probably won't even notice.
