@alexspeier 2h2 hours ago The Red Sox will indeed call up Elias today, with plans to bring up Owens later in the weekend.

Good thing we have our ace going tonight.

I may want to check out the game on Sunday night. Wonder if the prices might be reasonable Sunday Night in April. Could be interesting to see how Owens does.

Everybody knows Nelson de la Rosa, but who is Karim Garcia?

Good job by Hanley on the sac fly. But for all the happy talk about a New Hanley, he has - so far, at least - remained a pretty bad BB player. He came in at .258/.277/.387/.664 for an OPS-plus of 83 and .1 WAR.
Would love to see him achieve mediocrity and climb up to a 105 or so OPS-plus. That might make him marketable at the end of the year with the RS, of course, still having to eat a lot of money.

He's been awful at the plate, but pretty much everyone expects that that'll straighten out. It's much more promising that he's more or less an average defensive first baseman.

Ryan Hanigan should always aim for that opposite field: Much harder contact when going there.

Clearly Curry's here to get inspired by Mookie's game.

Folks don't need to worry about Mookie and Xander. They should worry about the starting pitching and it's effect on the pen.

Lyons' joke game is as putrid as Price's ERA.

Their guy is having so much more strikes than Wright, it's frustrating!

So apparently Hanley told OB that he's super psyched about his 77 wRC+.

God, I want to mute this game so bad. How is it that a awful blowout game with Remy and Orsillo announcing is better than listening to a O'Brien/Lyons game that the Sox are winning?

Xander turned on that ball nicely. Encouraging when he's able to recognize the inside pitch and pull it with authority.

Isn't it crazy that just a couple games ago Xander and Mookie were broken and the world was ending?

Steven Wright is easily our best pitcher haha

Stephen Wright the next RA Dickey? Knuckleball pitcher who overnight becomes an ace?
The Sox would be crazy to not keep Wright in the rotation. As much as I love Owens, I think E-rod (when he is healthy) should take Kelly's place in the rotation and wright should stay. Owens is a phone call away when Buchholz gets hurt. Let's hope DDo makes the Wright decision.
