JBJ's defense is clearly a notch below last year, very strange.
Porcello is having periodic command issues here, he's having an off day. Eck has it right.

He's leaving the sinker and/or change up, and still hasn't been hit all that hard. But there have been multiple hits that barely found their way through. He hasn't pitched well, but has also not pitched as poorly as his final line will look But then a ball is roped down the RF line and Mookie was playing close enough to make the catch and the final out of the inning was hit hard but right at someone, so it levels out

I'll still go with thinking that when the season's done, Porcello's year will say #2/#3 cusp.

Wondering how Jackie's offense for defense trade impacts him this year and going forward. If the offense is sustainable I'm not mad but he should play right.

It would be nice if there was someone who could really replace Holt as the starting LF if his offensive struggles continue. But Rusney has not been overly impressive in Pawtucket and that's pretty much it.....

JBJ has the range and arm to be a great RF at Fenway and Mookie can certainly handle CF. Doesn't mean the Sox need to make that swap now but if JBJ isn't the best option in CF the Sox can still make it work out fine. They're not at that point now. Too early to really consider it.

Travis Shaw and Jackie Bradley Jr are probably the two most deserving all-stars on this team.
Amazing.

Shaw has made what ever adjustment he needed to handle MLB fastballs. 96 MPH on the inner half? No problem.

Holt's hitting .255/.328/.377/.705. If Rusney just duplicates that, we improve the team because, I think most agree the Red Sox are at their best when Brock Holt is a supersub. Rather than an everyday player.

Why is Barnes on the mound? Should be Carson Smith.

Close game, 1 run lead. 4 rested shutdown relievers, let's bring in our worst reliever.

I love Eckersley's advice to Barnes: "Don't even think about using that hook."
