Seeing that they have DFA'd O'Sullivan, for this series; Will they bring up a position player for the bench (Hernandez, Swihart) or another Pitcher for the Pen (Light, Ramirez)?
Will they replace O'Sullivan on the 40 Man Roster or leave the spot open for now? I think Robby Scott, Kyle Martin & Anthony Varvano could all help if needed.

Heavy rain in KC tonight, doubt they get this one in. Good thing Wednesday weather is going to be ok (Wright). They're both off Thursday, so maybe they will make it up then, or play 2 on Tues or Wed.....Seems I'll have an eye on the weather for Wright's starts. He doesn't appear to be an "excuse" guy, but when he says "I couldn't throw a wet ball, or I couldn't dry my fingers", he must have really meant it.

the ball was not dancing for Wright on Fri, lets only pitch Wright when the atmospherics are right for the knuckle

If tonight's game happens, I'll be flipping back and forth between it and the WCF.

And what do you do when his spot comes up and the barometer isn't at the right mercury level? You sacrifice him for lord Matt Clement to come back.

If ever there was a time for the "knuckleball effect" to play out, tomorrow's double header would be it. Wright in the afternoon and Price in the evening can't be a day a hitter looks forward to.

I don't think that it was unreasonable to consider a 9 man bullpen knowing Mondays game had a good chance of being rained out and the possibility of a double header on Wednesday

They should get a 26th player for the Wednesday double-header, and it's quite possible that player will be a reliever, creating a nine-man 'pen. However, with the off-days coming up. they also shouldn't be afraid to "over"-use their bullpen. Everyone had an off-day yesterday and everyone will get one Thursday, as well as Monday.

According to Farrell Kelly will likely get the start Saturday and ERod will stay in AAA due to soreness, they will take it slow with him for now.

We are probably going to need to trade for an arm anyway with our pitching prospects years away and not much on the free agent pitching market this offseason. To me the bigger question is if they want a rental player/sign and trade guy or a younger arm that will cost big.

It's obvious they need pitching, and I just don't see DD hesitating to ship out a couple of top 10 to get one. I'm no prospect hoarder, but it's quite something to see a homegrown team come together, as this year has shown. Beats high-priced mercenaries every day of the week. Man, I'm not looking forward to the trade deadline.

This organization hasn't shown an ability to homegrow pitchers lately though. If they did, a trade wouldnt be needed. Luckily Dombrowski has a pretty good track record with these trades.
