LOL, that's why I didn't state it with only Sox history. For my 2 cents worth, I only have him behind Mark Cuban but I'm sure there are other good owners. The Cubs new owner, for example, seems to have his mind in the right place. LOL, it's too bad Tom Yawkee and Marge Shott (spelling) didn't do a major interview together. That would have been interesting. Other owners that come to mind: Reinsdorf (White Sox, Bulls), Kraft (Patriots), Buss (Lakers) Unfortunately, it's a whole lot easier to come up with the bad than the good. lol, one of my favorites was Al Davis until senility or old age or whatever, crept in then he basically flipped to the other end of the spectrum. Also of interest, the owners who were just flat out interesting because they marched to their own drum, Charles Finley & Bill Veeck and whoever owned the Browns when Eddie Gaedel got a plate appearance.

The Castillo signing as a response to just missing on Abreu Just because a segment of the fanbase was clamoring for the Red Sox to sign a Cuban, any Cuban, because obviously everyone born on that island is a baseball god, doesn't mean that that was how the front office was operating. Maybe their scouts just liked Castillo better than Abreu.
