Am I a bad person to root for a hit?

Well either way, this should spare us any more Sean O'Sullivan starts for awhile. Thank you for that, Joe.

Great effort by Kelly. Lost his control in the fifth, but fought through it and was otherwise terrific.

Nice job, Joe. That K after Shaw's error was the best I've seen Kelly. He told Shaw he'd pick him up, and then he calmly blew the next hitter away. Good stuff.

JBJ proving the haters wrong everyday. No extra bases, and just a .750 OBP today. Meh. Seriously, though...wow. Just, wow. En fuego.

I am amazed that a sentence can have this many no's and be correct. My 3rd grade English teacher is rolling over in her grave, though.

Not a fan of when Hustle Hanley turns to Hobble Hanley
Healthy Hanley>>>> everything else

It looks like Hanley is playing his way through a tight hammy. Hope that doesn't come back to haunt us.

So Barry Bonds is playing for the Red Sox now, when did he come out of retirement?

Jeez, when you have an over 1.000 OPS, it goes down when they walk you.

That was a perfect triple play ball (if there were no outs) to Uribe and he got one out.

Gonna guess that no one in MLB history with his numbers this late in the season has ever been followed in the lineup by two guys who have each had 97.5% of their career starts at catcher (minimum 80 GS). At the very least, he needs to be 5th. Batting a guy with a .400 OBP ahead of the two guys in the lineup with the lowest SA?

The Red Sox catchers have 8 LOB; the lineup can matter

I'd like to know the last AL batter batting 7th to get two IBBs.

Few things as satisfying as watching Joba crumble. I hope he pitches forever.
