So that Shields acquisition so far going exactly as expected. 7 runs in 2 innings. Yikes. I'd love nothing more than for the White Sox to fall out of contention, end up sellers at the deadline, and end up trading Shields for even less than what they paid.

Price's delivery is the best I have seen this year tonight.

Yup you knew Hanley wasnt getting on after that too, worst part is it probably means Bumgarner gets another inning.

Last two ABs this game Hanley hit the ball hard. I don't know what else you expect him to do.

Shaw and Ramirez are competing for worst hitters over the past couple weeks. Ugly ABs.

Last two ABs this game Hanley hit the ball hard. I don't know what else you expect him to do. Has nothing to do with Hanley. Could have been Bogey at the plate taking that BS strike on the 3-0 pitch and i would have thought "welp hes probably not gonna get on now".

So if Young didn't get a hit in his previous AB we could have had Papi leading off the next inning. When you put it like that, it's really obvious Castillo should be playing since there's no way he's hitting anything.

Well that was a pathetic inning by our 123 hitters...ugh.

The Giants reliever was wearing that outside corner for all three hitters, you think they should adjust.

Unreal. Of course he throws a meatball to the guy hitting .150.

Must be nice getting pitches inches off the plate constantly called strikes,
Outrageous.

Pulling your closer to try to find a better matchup in a 1 run game?
Must be nice for the Giants fans to watch competent management.

Tim Timmons must really want to get home, huh? two of those "strikes" on JBJ were a couple inches off the plate

Those calls were absolutely awful. Umps have been ridiculous this year. Would think I'd rather have papi up for shaw than young right now

Is anyone else kind of amazed, not only that Javier Lopez is still an active pitcher, but for the team we traded him to what feels like ages ago?

Eh, with Ortiz being walked and Castillo running for him, the bench is basically gone and we are stuck with guys that can be pitched to with the game on the line.
This doesn't look as though it will end well. Ortiz really needed to be saved for a situation where he had to be pitched to and not around.

It's amazing watching a good manager vs. our dumb one.
Bochy pulls his closer to get Shaw who couldn't hit a lefty if his life depended on it at this point. Then Farrell pinch hits for one of his hottest hitters and lets Shaw hit.
Just mind boggling stuff.

Seriously, can we please fire John Farrell before Baltimore pulls 10 games up on us?

Watching the end of that game made me so glad we don't play in the National League. I cant imagine how much JF's incompetence would cost us if we had to play with those rules all the time.
