This IS the 2011 team. Only they're doing September 2011 early.

WTF, I'm beyond angry now. Why am I watching these guys that cannot pitching? The guys cannot do the job after David, Steve and Rick (on/off). I'm sure DD is mad now.

The gameday threads have truly become unreadable. Will be utilizing the ignore function mentioned in the BAL series thread. Hopefully the offense can get going again and DD doesn't make any short-sighted, reactionary moves (not that I think he should do nothing).

Welp, I guess the Elias experiment is over for a while. Looks like we're back to Buchholz

This offense is good enough that they're never really that out of it.
Hanley has been hitting better of late-- that would be a nice development.

Leon looks like a ML hitter at the plate this year. Not just the results, but his confidence and how he carries himself seems night and day from last year

Wilkerson 5 IP 2 H 1BB 5K on 65 pitches. Buchholz rightfully should get another shot but I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Wilkerson at this point, as it can't get much worse then tonight.

I mean, I watched David Pauley in person after just being called up from Portland to face Toronto and he only gave up 6 ER in 4.1. Where is Kyle Snyder when you need him?

Toronto is crushing the O's 11-2 in the 4th. There's no losing ground to the O's tonight.

I miss the days when Wade Davis was clearly the eighth best starter on this staff.

I really hope we don't trade for more starting pitching this year, so we can be better in the future.

It's also unfair to make decisions based on one start. Fortunately they have about six more weeks before DDo gets trigger happy.

I think Clay might be return back to #5 starter in next time as schedule. I'm not too sure about #4 slot after E-Rod pitched poorly for third time out of 4 starts.
Believe me, I'm worried about lack of help from all guys (Clay, Joe, E-Rod, Sean, Henry, R Elias) as filler for #4 & #5 slots. They're been terrible. That's why I'm not too sure about Wilkerson (never seen him pitching) for help.

I'm not looking in the rear view mirror. Fair enough, I find Toronto to be more dangerous given their pitching (and comparable if not better offense than BAL) so I'd rather they be losing. Regardless, I still find competition in the standings pre-ASB is not a huge deal. I feel the early race should be treated like golf in the first 1/3-1/2 of the season IMO in terms of competing against yourself and not others in the standings.

So as a disclaimer this is basically a joke, but: can Hembree start?

Also, keep in mind that the Mariners' bullpen is shot after the last two nights against Tampa. There is hope for this game. But they are going to have to get to Iwakuma for that to happen at some point.
