Gotta love shifts now that it brings Cano up to the plate.

Pedroia just can't stop grounding into double plays.

They're going to need to start stealing more with a guy on first with Pedroia up.

Amazing how he cleaned that one out. With exception of DP, nice inning.

Geez, when I didn't see a comment for about a half hour, I assumed things must be going well for the Sox or else I'd see a bunch of comments. Sure enough....

James Shields just gave up a 5 spot in the 1st — why can't we get pitchers like that?

Damn, a person would barely know that the team was, winning. Came in to watch the game just as Bradley launched his blast. Did watch the first few innings and, from what I can see from the boxscore and play-by-play, I really disagree with the assessment of Porcello having mediocre stuff. The guy got out of a two-on jam by striking out Cano and Cruz.
I had walked outto do chores just as Young completely flubbed the liner that should have been caught. The run in the first inning shouldn't have scored either. He shut the thing down after the mistake to Lind. What is it people are looking for?

Porcello pitched very well against the second best offense in the league.

For the Red Sox to score 1620 runs and give up 0 for the season.

Damn, a person would barely know that the team was, winning ... What is it people are looking for? No complaints here. Who's hating? Well most of the usual suspects aren't here today, so we're missing about 20 posts of the same 'everything sucks' crap, like complaining about how bad Xander or Papi is in one at bat or how Porcello is a complete bust who shouldn't even be on the team. You know, stuff that really makes a lot of sense when you're looking back at the entire season in review.

Grit will only take you so far. (Although it might be argued, Big Game James is not showing much grit these days — is it possible to have an abundance of grit and then lose it all entirely? If so, where does it go? Isn't grit a zero sum game?)
