At this rate Wright can pitch 12 innings.

Was that Jay Groome sitting next to Dombrowski? Landon Dombrowski, High School catcher. And here I thought DDo was a grandpa.

This is really frustrating to watch. They should be knocking this guy all over the yard.

This guy's throwing a lot of balls and the Sox are swinging away.

At this rate Wright can pitch 12 innings. He might have to.

Could it be any more obvious that O'Brien has been instructed to talk about Wright starting the all-star game? I've now heard him use the same line at least three times in the last week. It's uncomfortable to hear him shoehorn it in.

Nothing solid. You wonder if they can pick up the ball out of his hand. There's bad swings at balls out of the zone. Historically, they don't hit him well.

If they only had someone to pinch hit.

FWIW I would have pinch-hit for Vazquez here.

If they only had someone to pinch hit. I don't want Leon trying to catch Wright for the next 5 innings.

On a day like today, where the opposite seems to be happening, it is only right that Christian Vazquez get's the big hit.

I'm usually the first to criticize Farrell for his lack of pinch hitting.
But that was the right play with Wright and his low pitch count. Luckily it worked out.
Now there is no reason Pedroia shouldn't be hitting for Hernandez here.

Did he throw him 3 fastballs to bunt? Yeah, probably wanted to make sure he got the out that Chicago was giving away for free.

Vazquez has looked much better the last few days. Hit some screamers right at people. I actually agree with JF decision there (what a rare, rare thing).
