Maureen Mullen @maureenamullen 8m8 minutes ago Workman L oblique strain last nite in TJ rehab. That's good news that it wasn't his arm. Hope he makes it back late in the season. Oh and that's a ridiculous amount of injuries in one day.

I trust Koji as long as it's not a 1 run game, his HR rate is absurd... But he's the perfect guy to get the 3 run lead "clutch" save.

Even when Koji was virtually automatic not so long ago, he gave up HR's. In fact, the ONLY way teams could score off him was by hitting the ball out of the park. He was so good that it was virtually impossible to build an inning against him.

Yup. It won't happen (note: I thought something was fishy with the slow hook) but wanted to wait till post game before chastising him While we've read and respected each other's posts for a long time, I have to wonder why you seem to love protecting the Farrell regime so much. Managers only have so much of an effect on the game. I know that. On the other hand, people always complain about the manager because it's the position they feel like they could do better. It will happen even if Boston had the best manager ever. I think this complaining (annoying as it may be) is no more common that it has been for any other manager. So why defend him actively? I'm not saying Farrell is the worst manager ever. But the way you vehemently defend him makes it seem like he is wrongly accused of being a bad manager, which in my opinion, he is not. He's one of the worst in the game currently. Again, no disrespect, I'm genuinely curious. I've always like getting your opinions so I'm not saying this in jest. I have criticized him before. And last night was strange. I just hate how people are quick to blame him for stuff before we have the larger picture. If post game JF said that both Taz and Craig were fine then I agree the criticism would be warranted. I just think that such anger should wait until we get the full story. And obviously JF or any manager would never say they were unavailable pre game as it gives the opposing team a stratigity advantage

Price wright and porkchop will get destroyed in the playoffs need a real number 2 has to be Tehran Sigh! Sure, sure. Wright and Porcello have somehow managed to corral 20 wins between them by accident. I understand. Who's next with the predictions?

The dominant Matt Moore looks like he has returned after Tommy John surgery. His stuff looks like it's back to being Matt Moore like.
I wish he wasn't on the Rays, the Sox could use a trade target like this.

If the Red Sox make the playoffs, Xander has to be the MVP regardless of having the best numbers or not. I don't care about logic, dude's insane right now.

Rick needs to maintain this lead.... That inning was as beautifully pitched as can be by Porcello after the double. Xander saved him in the end but Porcello changed speeds, used every side of the plate, mixed his pitches. It was great to watch.

Why are Dave and Eck talking about Matt Moore like he ever had good command?

Sandy Leon does not want the All Star break to arrive.

Leon has been incredible with a bat in his hand. Didn't he hit more between last year in AAA and this year?
Maybe it's Babip luck, but this guy could be a late bloomer case. He looks great up there.

Sandy Leon feeling inspired by Jackie Bradley Jr's turnaround. What a sight to see. First .400 hitter since Williams? Hah.
