Kimbrel is the worst thing ever. Worst AL East clinch ever. Yep. It's why I wanted Kimbrel to close it. Dumb.

Sucks they couldn't celebrate on the field and I'm sure the MFYs loved it.

...so do you even still celebrate?

You mean the Lackey trade? I still think it was terrible. Did the Cubs trade Lackey? No, the Red Sox traded Lackey (and a few boatloads of money) for Joe Kelly.

Kimbrel just made celebrating the division clinch too awkward to do.

They shouldn't celebrate this shit.
Don't celebrate backing in this garbage. Particularly Craig Kimbrel. Scrub.

Well that totally took the fun out of everything. Only the Red Sox could blow a game like that which turns a fun celebration into whatever the hell it is.
Congrats on winning the division. Yeah! Meanwhile Kimbrel was brutal.
That is the worst way to clinch anything. Absolutely terrible and embarrassing.

If I were Kimbrel..I wouldn't want to be photographed going crazy with the celebrations.

Well, every time you think you've seen it all in baseball, the sport jumps up to prove you wrong.
How the heck anyone can have any confidence in this team in the playoffs is beyond me. Even as division champs, they are a team on a knife edge.

I feel bad for Buchholz. He was magnificent tonight.

It's a little like winning PowerBall but getting your ass kicked on the way to cash in the ticket.
I'll take it, but fugly and another avoidable loss.

4 earned runs in 0.0 innings for a reliever isn't that good.

And Joe Castiglione is kind of speechless! No one knows what to say. Tim Neverett was sent down to do interviews. Talking about lots of muttering players, Kimbrell walking off by himself - weird weird weird

I feel bad for Buchholz. He was magnificent tonight. Well, as it was he wasn't going to get the win anyway, so his game tonight was never going to count for any more than the line score.

That really blew. But as someone who has always been really hard on Buch, I give him tons of credit for his turnaround. His stuff was nasty tonight. He is looking like 1a after Porcello and at the right time.

Even the clubhouse celebration looks like it's forced. Too bad.

I always had confidence in Hanley. I have confidence in Buchholz. I have confidence in Sandoval, I have confidence in Price. I have no confidence in Kimbrel. He never threw strikes and in the AL that will kill you.

That's so bad. Wow, just wow. Can you only imagine if the Orioles didn't make a miraculous comeback?

Huge series for Dombrowskis guys. The press will be celebrating Teflon Dave for winning the AL East, but when you think of the hit to the farm system for two players, Kimbrel and Pomeranz, who combined for 2 WAR, and one of whom may not pitch next year . . .

I'd rather back in to the division with Buccholz losing it than having our closer blow a 3 run lead in the ninth. I'm not even gonna bother watching the "post game celebration"

Let's see...how can we spin this into a positive for Kimbrell? Um.....yeah, I got nothing.

There is no "they" here. This is 100% on Kimbrel.

The team wins are about 95% Theo and Ben anyways. I don't get why Dave should get any credit.

Pedro on MLBN:
"Even if we clinched the division, I'd be furious losing the game like that."
I thought I couldn't love this man any more
