Sad news about my man Drew. He had some rough times as a Red Sox but I'm still very much a believer. Hope he comes back strong!

Pomerantz not starting Thurs due to forearm soreness. Owens will get the start. Tim Britton @timbritton 2m2 minutes ago Pomeranz will not start Thursday because of forearm soreness. If he pitches again this season, it will be out of the bullpen. Here it comes. Paging Dr. Andrews.

My dislike for Sanchez is reaching Jeterian levels.

Sanchez is literally their only good hitter. Price needs to be better.

Seems like the league's pitchers haven't/can't adjust their approach to Sanchez. He can't possibly have no holes in his swing. When comparing Porcello and Price, in general, I like Porcello's consistent attacking mode - something that Price lapses on occasionally. Scares me a bit in terms of how we will pitch in post season.

Whether the Yankees are good or bad, every year Price becomes a pumpkin against them. I hope the Yankees never make the playoffs as long as Price is pitching for the Red Sox.

Just tuning in ... can someone tell me how they've gone through 5 innings without scoring a run against Luis Cessa?

Price no bueno. He'll get you innings, but god help us if he faces an AL East team in a big spot.

Cessa's got a decent slider, but he goes to it far too often, inevitably hangs a few. Sox should've scored about 4-5 runs that inning.
