One of the main Red Sox review radio voices - Mike Mutnansky. No need to be unnecessarily proud of not knowing! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I stream it on the WEEI site - more enjoyable to listen to than Adam Jones on WBZ Radio, to me anyway. As a native New Englander who lives in NC and a Red Sox addict for...geez, nearly 40 years, it is great to continue after the game, her some local ads, and hear someone not afraid to call it like it is contribute to the game analysis. Good way to spend the hour after the game winding down so that I can actually sleep! I grew up in NH and VT and now live in Durham, NC. Wow - Raleigh here! Was just in Durham the other night seeing a jazz concert at 21C. Grew up in Rhode Island, grad school in New Hampshire. Been living in Raleigh for 24 years. I actually make the rounds going garden talks - first book came out a little over a year ago.

That ball Papi hit in the 1st had an exit velocity of 111mph. They are really getting screwed on BABIP in NY so far.

But that's not a rookie's role. Roles are important. Guys have places in the order and coming out of the pen because of tradition and the way the game is played and roles and stuff. Eh, the point is to win games. Some unspoken, outdated, "make sure the rookie knows his place" philosophy is wholly counterproductive if it pushes a guy out of the place where he most helps the team's chances of winning. I get the whole "you have to earn it" gestalt, and there's certainly some benefit. But I would argue that he's earned it. I forgot to use the sarcasm font. Apologies.

I'm going to tonights game, my first Red Sox game not at Fenway Park. My friends have advised that I DONT wear my Red Sox hat and jersey, out of fear of oppressive Yankee fans. That really doesn't bother me though. Should I be concerned at all? Thank you all for your advice. I'm proudly wearing my Red Sox gear to the game

If you want to declutter this board of tomato talk and get back to baseball, my email is nctomatoman@gmail.com - all advice free (that goes for all gardeners here)! I actually wrote a good bit of my books sitting in Respite coffee shop on Duke Street!

Just one of those games - the Sox making hard contact and Gardner on with a dribbler.

Sox hitters have to calm down and not let the frustration get into their heads. Also, Mitchell is throwing strikes and keeping his pitch count down - may as well swing at the strikes.

Some people are really slow, but holding that aside, I've never seen someone so inherently bad at baserunning as Hanley is. It's crazy.

Should be able to know how to slide when you're in the Big Leagues.

Should be able to know how to slide when you're in the Big Leagues. Headley missed the original tag. Hanley stays on the bag he's safe.
