Now Hanley is injured. Great. Just what this team needs. Hanley hates playing in day games let alone morning ones... I'm sure he will miss tomorrow conveniently then be back.

Just bat left handed Pablo. Enough of this switch hitting stuff.

I like that Barnes is burying his curve more often these days. He's looked pretty good so far this season.

Is Scott ready? He should be.
Way to go Farrell! (although should have had him face Morrison as well)

Btw, the Sox are getting some terrific all-around catching this year. And, Swihart is playing well in AAA. I'm very optimistic that Vasquez can be a .260/.320/.390 hitter with 25-30 2b a year. With his defense, that's a really good backstop.

Moreland keeps coming up big. Love it. Kimbrel did a great job too.

Good win.
I'll take 10/2 K/BB from Pomeranz on most days. I think he needs to learn how to get a few easy outs, but his stuff has generally looked very good this year.

And that first stolen base given up was absolutely an out. Which one? I think he allowed 3rd base when he threw it to left field a couple days ago. What does that have to do with today's game? On the steal of second, Pedroia was tagging the runner and not looking behind him so he didn't see the guy slide into the base, and the ump had a bad angle. The replay clearly showed that he did get him on the sleeve and it looked to have happened before he reached the bag. That would have been the question the replay would have answered and it could easily have gone the Sox way.
