That was on Marrero and not Pablo I don't think so. Sandoval had to know Davis was off on the pitch. Like someone said: add to the list that Sandoval CANT"T do(tag). Should've been out of the inning 10 minutes ago with no runs.Plus, how many additional pitches to Sale have to throw because of it? (I know it was too many) This. Thats about as an easy throw to first for a 3rd baseman to make.

Seriously. I can't even be happy about the times he actually does something well, because I know he'll do something worse later in the game.

He's basically Julio Lugo without the domestic violence.

Yeah but there were a ton of people on this site saying what a good defender he was when they got him.

Can someone please explain to me how the 3rd run is earned? They called it a fielder's choice instead of an error

Wow - just got here (working in the garden), tie game, read through the comments so far...yikes! They tell all sorts of stories! Seems like a good game...happy to see JBJ with 2 RBI, a Benny HR - Sale's line not quite what I hoped to see, but it is early.

Release Sandoval. Brings ZERO to the team. FWIW, he has the highest SLG% and ISO vs RHP on the team right now.

I don't even get why a replay like that even takes 45 seconds. Should be immediate right when they get to the headset.

Still have no idea how that 3rd run is earned if it was ruled a fielders choice. That would be 3rd out of the inning?

Sale's breaking stuff is not sharp. Seems like opponents are sitting on heat and sometimes they win, sometimes they lose,
If he could get more bite in the secondary stuff, he would be a monster in the same class as kershaw!!!!!

It doesn't have to be an out.

A FC is "the act of a fielder who handles a fair grounder and, instead of throwing to first base to put out the batter-runner, throws to another base in an attempt to put out a preceding runner." If the batter reaches because the fielder went to another base, it's a "fielder's choice" regardless of whether or not an out was recorded.

Why Hanley...why not Travis? Even given last year's power surge and an occasional good game (yesterday), there are simply too many worthless ABs....not a whole lotta value at the moment.

Pro Tip to home plate umpires: a pitch over the batter's box stripe is not a strike.
