This is enjoyable so far. Finally Mookie gets a couple bounces. Hope that snaps him out of it.

This game has been remarkably cathartic. If Fister gets through 5 scoreless I'd still warm someone up to avoid letting him lose it and make this a tight game in one inning.

So far, Devers first 25 PAs in the majors were a little better than Moncada's.

Nice to have a game where hitters/pitchers aren't living and dying with every pitch. Feels like 95% of the Sox games this year are decided by 1-3 runs.

110 mph on that Devers single. WTF, this is absolutely nuts how hard he hits the ball every time.

Mitch Moreland is no Rafael Devers.

Sick of the Yankees talk in this board. The Sox just promoted a star and a top 5 prospect in all of baseball this week and they acquired a closer today. Time to roll a 12 game winning streak.

I am just tore up about X's struggles. I want so much for him to get back on track. Not gonna turn my back on the guy. He has hit the ball hard a few times tonight.

Regardless of how you pictured your night going, I doubt it featured Doug Fister pitching 6 shutout innings with just 3 hits allowed.

The ghost that has been haunting this team must have latched onto Cleveland tonight.

is there something someone can point to tonight about Fister? More strikes. Luck. What? Luck I don't agree, Fister has benefitted from Cleveland being too aggressive on the sinker down in the zone, caused a lot of weak contact on the ground. There has been some luck on some pitches he's elevated the last couple of innings, but I'd hardly call the performance luck. Not sure if it is a good or a bad thing, but if Fister leaves this game with a line that resembles what it is now, he's almost definitely earned another start. Of course Farrell is infinitely capable of screwing him and leaving out there too long.

Fister looks confident. It's easy to grin, when your ship comes in.
