Little Papi has hit home runs in 3 straight plate appearances. Glad I'm not the only one calling him that. I think we are witnessing the beginning of something very very special

Well just about every ball he hits is between 100-110mph, so add that to not having a strike out problem and yeah he will.

So inside or outside? Pitchers are going to have to pick their poison and it won't be easy. Based on the minor leagues, pitchers try and stay outside on Devers because if you try and pitch him inside he will hit bombs completely out of the park. Very quick hands, tremendous bat speed. At least that is what I've learned from reading Ian Cundall over the past three years.

We always hear that the league "gets the book" on a player, he regresses and has to adjust to the new way he's being pitched. Aaron Judge is a good example. I know now he won't sustain this crazy production but how do you plan to pitch to a guy that hits the ball this well in different parts of the zone? He is very good at baseball.

I still haven't seen him pull the hard stuff inside, and that was clearly the strategy the Yankees tried on him, but he actually inside-outed that Chapman pitch a little making it even more ridiculous.

Fister obviously wasn't great, but it isn't like the Tribe can't hit.

Slight tangent...I'm liking the 6:00 pm start. Its just after 7:30 and we're in the 5th. I think all NYY games should start at 6:00 since they always last 4 hours anyway.

Exactly what I have been saying. When you got oppo power, you got big time power. Not to mention a lot of these oppos are finding there way out of the deepest parts of ball parks. Left center in NY and Seattle arent pop ups that happen to catch a ride in the jet stream. Those balls were crushed.

I know that "you can't win em all" but this is one of those give away games - keeping Fister in and asking the team to keep coming back. This game is a bit of a Farrellism.

I guess Big Papi was right: Sox should sign Encarnarcion to replace him?
