I have to admit that I have one more line on my wishlist and that's to sign Koji for one last year if they're able to find room under $237M.

Sox going with Chandler Shepherd, Kyle Martin and Bobby Poyner vs. BC tomorrow. Leon being the only major leaguer playing a sign of catching depth or a signal that he’s fighting for a roster spot? To me, his spot is pretty safe, even if I’d like Swihart to be the backup instead.

I hope that Cora can manage the rest of the regulars. I think Xander and Mookie could use a few more days off than they've been getting the last few years. Swihart being able to play the OF adequately could help with that. I wonder if JBJ or Benintendi will move to RF if/when Mookie needs a break.

I watched the video of what happened. Doesn’t look too bad. Only stayed down for about 30 seconds. Probably less.

So Hanley is current slotted to hit 3rd, per Cora, so maybe something like: Betts Benintendi* Ramirez Martinez Bogaerts Devers* Nunez Bradley* Vazquez ? On days Moreland starts, everyone moves up one? That said, I can't imagine not hitting JDM third. That seems obvious to me. And holy crap does that lineup look better than last time. I heard one of the beat guys say last night on tv that Cora said Hanley was hitting third BEFORE JDM was officially signed. The beat guy suggested it was far from etched in stone. Sorry, I don't remember which beat guy.

**Swoons**
EDIT: I'll be honest. In terms of the Red Sox actually winning games, this is very likely less important than singing JD Martinez. In terms of keeping my blood pressure down it is roughly 100 times more important.

By all indications, Cora just "gets it." I've loved everything he has had to say out of spring training so far.

Nice dude. He kind of fell off the face of the earth last year due to injury, but pop was never something he was lacking, that's for sure.

He needs to stop putting unnecessary ducks on the pond, because his stuff is filthy.

It was nice to see Swihart leg out a triple , the ankle didn't look too bad rounding second. I know it's early but Marrero looked like he was struggling against College pitching. Steve Lyons did make a comment on Marrero that it seemed that he was working on something with keeping his head on the ball and keep the chin shoulder-to-shoulder hopefully it works out.

Box score thoughts for the 15-2 win over NEU. *disclaimer: none of these mean anything at all.*
Swihart stayed behind the plate for 4 innings. Showed his athleticism with a triple.
Josh Ockimey walked in both of his plate appearances. Considering the Sox walked 9 times, not a significant stat. He didn’t even swing at a pitch.
Holt hit well off of the college pitching. Could be a good sign that the vertigo isn’t impacting him like it was last year.
Kyri Washington hits a grand slam. Hopefully he can make up for his lost year in 2017. Good power prospect.
Marrero and Selsky has ugly games. 0-3, 2 Ks for Marrero and 0-3, 1 K for Selsky.
Austin Rei played the whole game at DH. That normal? Everyone else was pinch hit for or had a defensive replacement.
Beeks, Buttrey, and Walden all pitched well. Buttrey especially. Justin Haley...not so much.

Uggh, Steve Lyons is back? Has there been any announcement for color guy plans for NESN this year?

Right, but I imagine he's going to scale back on the number of games he does. Is Eck coming back also? Lyons is the worst of the bunch, even including Gomes.
