I don't think I've ever seen Xander drop a pop up, to his credit.

Going from Pomeranz to Wright is about as big of an upgrade as this team could have gotten.

Devers' approach is going to have to improve. He swings at a lot of crap and doesn't really have that Vlad ability to hit it hard anyway.

Martinez needs to show Devers how to lay off high fastballs next.

Nunez is really frustrating at this point. I don't view him as ML caliber.

Lol the knuckle ball is the only pitch where you can take off 10-15 mph off a knuckleball, and it'll remain the same pitch.

The longer ties go the more they favor the home team.

he basically stuck his elbow out there. I mean, I guess at 0-0 you gotta do what you need to do.

Agree: he stuck his elbow out.
Also, on the bunt, he had his back foot ALMOST directly behind home plate. He was out of the box.

I'd rather see Wright get out of this.

Wow, that is as quick a hook as we have seen from Cora.

I'd rather see Wright get out of this. That is my gut too, but I can't blame Cora here. Kelly is a good option.

I hope Cora asked the home plate ump to see if another ump saw the foot out of the batter's box. It didn't look like there was much of a conversation with the home plate ump.

Dealing with Kelly's 97 fastball after Wright's 70 knuckleball has to be miserable.
Good job JK.

It's probably one of those stupid plays that isn't reviewable either, which is total BS.

It worked out Cora. Good job. Even if it didn't work out, I still agree with the move. Of all 8 (or so) baserunners Wright allowed, Jones counted for 3 of them. Second, I think Kelly is the established "fire guy" and third, there probably isn't a bigger rhythm changer than going from a knuckleballer to a guy that can hit triple digits. I'd have almost gone to Kelly for Rickard, but DEFINITELY Jones.

Vazquez swinging at a 2-0 ball that literally hit the left handers batting box.

Baseball is weird; the right decision can blow up in your face or the wrong one can bear fruit. In this case, I absolutely think that bringing in Kelly was a good move regardless of whether he ended up getting Jones.

There wasn't a strike in the first 5 pitches to Vasquez.
Vasquez is the event horizon.
