Has Bundy really been that great or has our offense really been that bad?

The Sox have hit 3 or 4 warning track fly balls tonight. Unbelievable.

This. It's easy to get caught up in the "it worked, so it was the right move" or "it didn't work, so Cora effed up" mindset. Baseball is weird; the right decision can blow up in your face or the wrong one can bear fruit. In this case, I absolutely think that bringing in Kelly was a good move regardless of whether he ended up getting Jones. Baseball like all sports, is all about results. It is what it is. Decision making is all about probability, not results.

It's not the one where you're lucky that it worked out. You don't have hindsight to use when making decisions.

Kelly is still prone to walking guys. He hardly gives up any hits.

1 run and then Kimbrel. Let make it happen, boys.

This offense is probably going to score it's first run in the 14th inning, if the Sox bullpen makes it that far....

Bringing in one of your best relievers to get a crucial out in a based-loaded situation where your starter was starting to lose the zone? If more than half of Boston would have questioned that, then clearly I don't need to listen to more than half of Boston about baseball.

SP is an exception, not the example.

The worst part about this is that if we lose, we don't benefit from being the road team and having 1 fewer inning pitched.

Wright has been dominant and lost the strikezone momentarily (which is something that Joe Kelly is prone to do from time to time). Wright is also a knuckle ball pitcher that was only at 93 pitches. The probability was probably about the same for each pitcher. Cora went with something he was more particularly comfortable with. It worked out so no one gets the blame.

Chris Davis should be jailed for theft if he plays out this contract to the end.

Johnson walks the .180 hitter. I don’t think I can take much more of this.

Has Bundy really been that great or has our offense really been that bad? Considering that the Sox have only scored 7 runs in the past 45 innings, I'd go with the latter.

Chris Davis should be jailed for theft if he plays out this contract to the end. Seriously...that contract is genuinely making the Sandoval deal look like a mild lapse in judgement. 7/$161M...and he’s in year two, on pace for the worst season in MLB history. By a fair margin. I mean, they stink so they might as well play him and hope he turns it around...but he’s on pace for -4.4 fWAR. Yikes.
