Have you been to Safeco? I was a big fan. And of Seattle of course. It is kind of crazy that Felix Hernandez is finally on a playoff-quality team once he stops being good. Even when he had outstanding stuff, he had such good control and feel for pitching that I thought it would sustain him as a decent pitcher even when that stuff started to erode. He is (was?) probably like two good seasons away from having a good Hall of Fame case, but it's hard to see him getting there at this point. I hope I'm wrong and he's got a comeback in him, but I wouldn't mind if he could wait his start after this one. Yes, I've been living in Seattle for about 4 years (and lived in Portland, OR for another 3), so I always make sure to attend the Sox series. Its a nice place to catch a game.....I mean damn, you can get $6 cans of a good IPA. I miss Fenway, haven't been in a handful of years, but I'm grateful I get to see the team at least a couple games a year and was lucky enough to see Devers first pro hit/HR last year. Sidenote -- if anyone is ever passing through the Pac NW, drop me a line and we'll grab a beer and talk about.....sox prospects I guess. We lived in Seattle in 1983 (I was a post doc at U Wa) - we had no money but it was one of the best years of our lives (what a beautiful place) - went to see a ball game at the old King Dome! Our daughter lives out there near Gig Harbor - we get out there a few times a year....just love the PNW.

I was in Seattle, but didn't visit anywhere special. They have some of the tallest trees I ever seen in the famous forest nearby.
Anyways Price might be having his best start of the year. He's cruising...

Price is looking great tonight. He looks like the Price of old. Devers also looks like he's putting it together...

Tight game as expected - Devers and JBJ looking good. Xander's ABs are troubling - going fishing low and outside again - hope he is not about to get lost in a slump for an extended period.

That wasn't fan interference, it was Nunez interference.

Nunez is simply not a very good ball player. From swinging at everything to weak defense....

the Vasquez throw was particularly upsetting. He obviously was set up and fell into the trap.

Nunez makes me so angry that I almost want to boycott the games he starts. The problem is, Cora loves him so much that I wouldn't be able to watch a single game.
