Im honestly more pissed about how egregious the blown call was in the Yankees game. The Yankees seem to catch so many breaks and are rarely on the other end of it.

A game to flush - bad weather, bad start (Eovaldi), bad offense, bad bullpen (thornburg), bad ump. S*#t happens. Yeah but it's happening more often....losing our starters has taken root...

So Steven Wright is coming back soon, maybe he could start?

Take a look at the active roster on our site - reinforcements have arrived. Only missing Sale and Devers at this point

So Steven Wright is coming back soon, maybe he could start? Only if it's for 2 or 3 innings. He will not be a starter otherwise. He already said he can't handle the workload at this time.

Kinda bummed sox didn't make a trade That's an understatement. This pen isn't gonna last long unless the offense is clicking on all cylinders. It's really malpractice for a GM to have a team like this with that kind of weakness and not make a move to try to fix it.

It's really malpractice for a GM to have a team like this with that kind of weakness and not make a move to try to fix it. The lucky 13-man Pen going forward in September: Wright, Scott, Poyner, Cuevas, plus Kimbrel, Brasier, Workman, Barnes, Kelly, Hembree, Velasquez, Pomeranz, Thornburg. Maybe Lakins or Shepherd on the 4th. For the postseason remove non-performers and perhaps add Johnson, Eovaldi, maybe another starter. This Pen is tired, dinged up, but still very good, still among the best, and still close knit. . And this 93W team (in August) likely remains under the $237 limit for the upcoming Draft in a rebuilding Farm system ($$$ and pick). Imagine if we had gone all in and acquired Herrera or Britton? DDo got lucky, but he is also smarter than we are.

For tonight's game I would like the good Sox to try a new strategy based on not giving 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning.

But other than that you're right. So are you except for the part where Kimbrel has been scuffling as his walks are very up, Barnes is pitching like he's hit a wall, and Hembree is also pitching like he's gassed, too, and also for the fact that the bullpen has not been very good in August. I was hoping they'd get Herrera or Soria or Britton prior to 7/31. Glad they didn't get Britton. Washington stupidly hung onto Herrera and now he's hurt and they'll get nothing for him. Serves them right. Soria could have helped this team. Don't think the Brewers gave up a ton to get him.

DDo got lucky, but he is also smarter than we are. Why is this the second time I've read this? Eric Van says he computes them under and you have this as well. Yet Dombrowski has already stated that the Sox are above the luxury tax limit. I wish the Sox had gone "all in" and had gotten Herrera. Dombrowski didn't get Herrera not because he didn't want him. He didn't get him because Washington foolishly thought of themselves as serious contenders even though it was growing pretty apparent that they're not. And the backed out of a deal at the deadline. Maybe if Dombrowski got Herrera, he'd be helping the Sox pen today. What happened to him was kind of freak. Who knows if that happens with the Sox? They could have gotten Soria for probably a reasonable deal. He could have helped. It remains to be seen if the Red Sox bullpen rebounds.

Are we certain that none of Scott, Poyner, Cuevas, Wright, maybe Lakins will be able to give a breather to this Pen?

Man, being a Tigers fan for a few days makes me really grateful I’m not a Tigers fan.

Good grief, seven strikeouts through nine batters for ERod.
Somebody set an appointment to roll his ankle six weeks before the start of next season. It agrees with him.

Filthy I do not remember Edrod having the "Sale looking" slider that starts out wide and breaks that far to the bottom right corner. Pitch looks like Sales.
