Ah yes, the 100 mph flat FB down the middle, for a tie game.
The ghosts of John Wasdin resurrected, only John never threw 100.

Please get hot Devers. A good Devers is better than a good Nunez.

Why go for the trifecta when you can go for the quadrafecta, or the pick 4, or whatever it's called?
Thornburg to pitch the 8th!!

Devers swings at two terrible pitches and then lets that one go.

Devers swings at two terrible pitches and then lets that one go. He's just too young and inconsistent. If he were only 3 years older and a little more experienced on this 2018 team.....

it's hard to judge how Devers' looks against the most productive pitcher in baseball, though he did have one of our only five hits against him.

If Workman's velocity continues to stay up, then yes he deserves to be on the postseason roster.

If Workman's velocity continues to stay up, then yes he deserves to be on the postseason roster. Asof right now, the decision is easy for me if Barnes is healthy and we're keeping 11 Ps. Poyner and Workman get my last two spots, and I don't know anyone who's close to knocking one of them off. Obviously it could be subject to change.

And that is how deGrom has a losing record. Dominant but for one pitch, no decision.

I don't get why Brasier can't pitch, either. He threw like 9 pitches yesterday. If he's our supposed 8th inning guy he needs to be able to pitch back-to-back days, especially if he isn't throwing many the first day.

No need to extend him at this point. Lol Wright is warming and coming on for the save. I haven't seen a knuckleball pitcher close a game since Tim Wakefield in the 1990's.

Yankees losing in the 9th. Magic number could go down to 2 games if the Sox can close this out. Could close this out at Yankee stadium this year.

Pitching the day. after throwing a few pitches isn't really "extending" a guy. Brasier has pitched back to back before, I just don't get why Cora has gotten so shy about doing it lately.

Brasier has gotten a lot of work in the second half and these games essentially don't matter. It's spring training in September.

And thank you umpire for that called 3rd strike. That makes up for the one on Mookie for the first batter of the game.

In like 2 minutes the Yankees lose by 1 and the Red Sox win by 1. Magic Number increased by 2 in as many minutes.
