Magic number down to 2. What's the consensus, should we be worried about Mookie?

Wright's first career save. Yankees lost. Magic number 2. It'll be perfect to clinch in the toilet.

Magic number down to 2. What's the consensus, should we be worried about Mookie? Nah. The Sox will give him plenty of time off if need be. They got 2 and a half weeks until October. Not worried at all. Didn't look too serious either.

Magic number down to 2. What's the consensus, should we be worried about Mookie? Yes, we should be worried about Mookie. Take an MVP contender out of the lineup and see what happens, especially since the Sox offense isn't hitting on all cylinders right now anyway.

The only thing the Red Sox have to do is win 2 games out of the next 13 and let everyone get healthy. He's not out for the playoffs.

Any time you have a re-injury like this, recovery certainty is muddled. It isn't just whether or not Mookie will be back, it's, if he IS back, what Mookie will it be?

I'm just saying that there's no reason to jump to conclusions without any information. And they certainly don't need him now. Maybe it's just caution.

When he came back from this injury last time he was kind of cold for the first 6 games or so, which is a SSS and may or may not mean anything. But I do hope he doesn't sit too long and get rusty before the playoffs start.

I hear you, could be career ending. We will never see Mookie again this year, and when we do, he will be the next Holt. Glad I am not pessimistic, so I will just hope for the best until we hear Cora/Red Sox address this.

Geez, Khris Davis hit a grand slam in the 9th against the Rays, but it was not enough. The Rays win 5-4 and the A's don't gain ground on the Yankees.

Lol it didn't look serious. I knew people were freaking out over nothing. Looked like a cramp if anything, he was trying to stretch it out before he came out. I'd give him 2 days off I'm Cora, but it's his call certainly.

With the magic number at two with 13 games remaining the Sox have essentially clinched. Time to start resting guys heavily.

Great win - we got a nice bullpen audition and (to me, anyway) some separation between the keepers and the leave-offers for the post season continued.

i am not going to say it, because I don't want to think it, but if I was down to my last dollar, I would bet on Mookie Betts playing playoff games.

Sorry I’m late to the party. Work:( Nice win!! Magic number 3!!! Da Yankees lose! Magic number 2!! The Astros are being more stubborn but, by my count, the magic # for Sox home field advantage is now 5 with 13 G to go, and 14 for Houston. I was never that good at math, though. We have surely learned that is a goal worth fighting for.
