I would like to see this:
1) JBJ (CF) 2) Holt (SS) 3) Pearce (LF) 4) Martinez (DH) 5) Phillips (2B) 6) Vasquez (3B) 7) Swihart (C) 8) Lin (RF) 9) Travis (1B)
Maybe bat Travis 8 and Lin 9

Yeah, but I kinda want to mess with Buck at this point.

Excellent dominating win where a ton of milestone were accomplished.
Congrats to Mookie on being a 30-30 guy. Congrats to JDM on HR 42, tied for most for a Red Sox newcomer. Congrats to Devers on 2 HRs, including #20, along with 6 RBIs Congrats to Xander on a new career high 22 HRs, along with 100 RBIs.
Congrats to Sandy Leon for actually getting a base hit.
The biggest development is the stellar hitting from Devers. I was kind of hoping that somehow Devers would get a chance to re-establish himself and Nunez's injury opened the door.
I'd like to see Devers bat after Xander in the playoffs with Moreland moved down in the order.
Holt has been swinging a hot bat. Perhaps he should get some ABs over Kinsler? Holt's OBP is near .360 I think unless I saw that wrong.
I was hoping for 111 wins but I'd be nervous about a 6 game winning streak going into the playoffs so maybe if they can win tonight they can get 110? Hopefully Sale pitches great and he gets enough offense to win the game.

Devers heating up JUST in time for the playoffs. If he keeps it up, he could go a long way towards lengthening the lineup. .321 / .357 / .750 in his last 30 PA / 6 G, beginning with the clincher.
Of course, Mookie is now .667 / .684 / 1.444 starting then (12/18, 5 2B, 3 HR, 1 BB).
Wonder if they had lunch together that afternoon ...

I guess I missed some offense, huh? I am going to check it out on MLB Tv and try not to read the stats.

Fun Fact : The Red Sox have had 1 MVP every decade since they started giving it out in 1*31 - (2 in the 70's).
Our franchise was down to this year and next for this decade and our man Mookie is gonna keep the streak alive !!!!!

Meaningless but, I'd like to see Mookie with 30 SB, Devers with 20 HR & Xander with 100 RBI Brother......you hit the trifecta in 1 day !!! How great is that !!!

I'm such a huge fan of Lin. I hope he's on the team next year. Holt might have some trade value to make room for him if they decide they can't have two lefty utility guys. Would be bittersweet, because I love Holt too.

I mean. JA Happ doesn't throw 95 with any regularity. Would love to see 97+, but really more concerned about command, he just hit 2 guys.

I don't want to get worried, but I'm a bit concerned about his arm. This is a good 6-7 mph difference and lack of command. I really hope it's rust.

Let's face it -- If Sale isn't an ace next month, the Sox pitching staff isn't going to scare anyone they will see in the playoffs. That would really level, or more than level, the playing field.
