Barnes 1.6 million per year Braiser 578k per year Brewer 557k per year Thornburg 1.75 million per year Workman 1.15 million per year Embree 1.3 million per year
Whole bullpen less than 7 million per year Kimbrell wants like 17 million per year. LMFAO I wonder what his thoughts are?

So since there's been some criticism of him due to how we've started, I'll contribute that Cora is handling the bullpen really well. I like what he's doing with Barnes, feels like he's putting him in positions to maximize his impact (whether it's closing or handling a jam in the 7th or 8th) and the other pitchers are falling in line. good to get another one in the win column!

Loved Brasier's no drama save Yep HATED Kimbrell drama and all his special rules This whole bullpen is under 7 million and CK wanted 10 million more than the whole bullpen for himself and that crap? really?

He (Brasier) has got a high fastball that rides in on righthanders that's really tough for them to reach. He uses it to great effect.

Soo who is going to be the guy that steps up and turns the season around for this team? .. Pearce tomorrow? Maybe a rally tonight after a good at-bat? E-Rod with a great start tomorrow l? Maybe Blake is the guy This could end up being correct

The movement on Brewster's pitches shouldn't be overlooked, even if he gives up a walk or two.

They aren't comparable to Kimbrel's price point right now. If Matt Barnes were a free agent tomorrow, he's probably worth at least 10+ million a year for about 3-4 years right now.

I pity the foolish team that gives CK more than 3/30 I would extend a few of our pen guys cheaply now

I really like how our pen has looked. Barnes and Brasier have been solid, Brewer has surprised and could be this year’s version of Brasier. And I feel like Thornburg still have some potential to make an impact.
Now give it a month to get Lakins or Meija, Feltman ready to replace Hembree

That is more like it. A good break. A great game by Swihart. And another dominant game for the pen. This offense is too good to keep down...

It’s a good thing Dombroski built this team a strong bullpen. Clearly that is a strength that will carry them this year!

Not so funny the way the Sox have started the season but I am confident all will be fine.
The funny thing is the absolute strength of the team so far is the pen, LOL!!

Pitchers ahead of the hitters and all that jazz. The bullpen has warts and sooner or later they'll have to be treated. I don't have much faith beyond Barnes and Brasier. I love Brewer's stuff but worry his lack of command will leave a lot of "center, center". We aren't paying much for the pen guys not because we are smart and they are great, but because we can't. A bit of beggar not chooser. I would love to have Kimbrel. He is a sure fire Hall of Fame pitcher. Still the win was like getting an antibiotic for a severe infection. Now if I could only get some sleep....

So the great starting rotation has sucked, our vaunted offense just got shut out in consecutive games, but our maligned bullpen has been nails.
Baseball.

Cool another year of bullpen bashing when the pen is once again more than adequate as a component of the whole to win it all.
